Get rid of Reply section

You could hide it with CSS:

#respond {display:none;}

There is a chance that the theme has a CSS field in the options, if not then you can make a child theme:

Or you can instead use a plugin if you like:

Or you could still go the child theme route but instead remove the physical code, single.php:

You can also disable the comments section just for that particular page:

https://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

But doing that will most likely still leave you some text along on the page the lines of “Comments are closed“

If you don’t mind that then using the WP feature is best. ??

I don’t use the theme personally but the theme can display that message if the right criteria is met.

I see the code there first checks if the comments are open, it then checks to see if any pre-existing comments are present and finally ensures the post type supports comments.

So basically if there were once any comments but now the post is closed the comment and that specific message would display. So really it depends on how jsender may have previously ran the site and if they wish past comments to be live should they exist.

Hey man,

I’m using Make myself and getting rid of the comments can be done from within the WordPress interface.

Follow these steps:

1. Click “Pages” from within WP
2. Do NOT click the page for which you want the comments off. Instead HOVER over it and click “QUICK EDIT”
3. Scrutinise the section – you’ll see “Allow Comments”
4. Tick off

Done.
