ShareThis SupportHello there
Thanks for contacting us, I’d be happy to explain what is happening.
The sharing count for ShareThis buttons is tied to the URL of the page. This means that if the URL is changed, then the counts will reset. Changes to the URL can include:Changing the URL to something new
Switching from one sub-domain to another
Changing SSL (eg, updating from http to https)
Including a re-direct on the URL
Implementing the st_url parameter on the button code with a different URL than the page URLAt this time, there is no way to transfer/export the stats between different URLs. The best work-around is to pass the original urls in “st_url” on new url pages to maintain the count on the original url.
For “st_url” property you can refer the below link –

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] switchTo5xHi Gulliver,
Thanks for reaching out, we’ve spoken in the past before! Great to hear from you.
The ‘switchTo5x’ is the version of our widget. If true, that means that you’re currently using our latest version – 5x. If false then you are switched onto our classic widget.Hope this helps to explain!
Please feel free to reach out directly to our support line at [email protected].

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Sharecounts disapearingHello there Joe
Thanks for contacting us, I’d be happy to explain how our share counter works.

Changing the URL to something new
Switching from one sub-domain to another
Changing SSL (eg, updating from http to https)
Including a re-direct on the URL
Implementing the st_url parameter on the button code with a different URL than the page URLDo you know if you’ve recently done any of the above?

ShareThis SupportHi Joe,
Thanks for getting back to me, I’d be happy to explain what is happening here.
First, I can confirm that the ShareThis code is not installed on your site anymore.I went on your website to analyze the code and noticed that it is part of Elegant Themes widget. The confusion is that they are labeling the bar as “Share This” which is making you believe that it is our tool that is still on your website.
Do you know, if by default, if this is the label that is being used when installing their widget?
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
Best,
Brandon
