In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Show on Home page (Category)Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to me, I apologize for the delay!
Since your home page is also a category page it is vital to toggle our widget for category pages. This can be found within our plugin settings. You can update the settings for WordPress from here:
https://YOUR WP BLOG/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharethis.phpas:
Automatically add ShareThis to your posts?* YesAutomatically add ShareThis to your pages?* Yes
Additionally, if you would like to exclude our widget from other category pages, we have an area below the above questions that allow you to do so.
If you have any further questions, please contact us directly at [email protected].
Best,
Brandon

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] images not displayed correctlyHello there Neha,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m happy to confirm that this is easy to fix. You just need to update the Open Graph Tags in your code. This is the section of code that allows you to specify what image, text or link you wish to appear when people share your link to Facebook.
We have an article in our Help Center which explains how to do this, it’s available to read here:
I hope this helps, if you have any additional questions please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at [email protected].
Best,
Brandon
ShareThis SupportHello there,
Thanks for contacting us! The sharing count for ShareThis buttons is tied to the URL of the page. This means that if the URL is changed, then the counts will reset. Changes to the URL can include:
Changing the URL to something new
Switching from one sub-domain to another
Changing SSL (eg, updating from http to https)
Including a re-direct on the URL
Implementing the st_url parameter on the button code with a different URL than the page URLAt this time, there is no way to transfer/export the stats between different URLs. The best work-around is to pass the original urls in “st_url” on new url pages to maintain the count on the original url.
For “st_url” property you can refer the below link –

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Home page permalink problemHello there,
Thanks for reaching out, I’d be happy to assist the both of you.
The hash added at the end of URLs is our CopyNShare feature.
By default, publishers have our CopyNShare feature enabled. This feature allows publishers to measure the copy and shares of text and URLs on their websites. It does so by appending the unique ShareThis #stHash to your URL.To disable the CopyNShare feature, you’ll want to update the script tags in your head code to include or update the following parameters: doNotHash:true, doNotCopy:true and hashAddressBar:false
As an example:
<script type=”text/javascript”>stLight.options({publisher: “INSERTYOURPUBKEY”, doNotHash:true, doNotCopy:true, hashAddressBar:false});</script>
Please feel free to learn more at our Help Center article about CopyNShare: https://support.sharethis.com/customer/portal/articles/961937#sthash.Ybiuwmvt.dpbs
or contact us directly at [email protected].
Best,
Brandon

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Exclude from specific categoriesHi there Elaine,
Thank you for reaching out, I’d be happy to assist you.
At this time you are not able to exclude the plug-in from a specific category, it requires a bit more custom coding within WordPress which is not supported. If you are interested in learning more about it, you can follow the previous support thread here:
Please do let me know if you have any other questions directly at [email protected].
