In reply to: [WP Mailster] Match archived email time stamp to website time zoneHi Allyson,

You are right, currently the timestamp shown may be different from the selected local time. This is a known issue we plan to fix with either the next release or the one after that.Regards,

In reply to: [WP Mailster] Parse error upon activation, PHP 5.3.3Across WordPress installations, the PHP 5.5/5.6/7.0/7.1 adaption is currently above 65%. That is the more important metric for me as a WP developer. But I don’t want to argue with you about percentages ??
Anyway, I have decided I will help you and others stuck with older language versions and look to get my code copmatible with PHP 5.3 and 5.4.
That will be included in the next release.

In reply to: [WP Mailster] Parse error upon activation, PHP 5.3.3Hi Ahcj,
thanks for reaching out!
I am sorry that you have run into this issue. You are right that this is because of your dated PHP version.
WP Mailster requires at least PHP 5.5, but is also compatible with PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.
You are also right that we need to make a better communicating this requirement directly in the WP.org listing, however we have this in our documentation on our site: https://wpmailster.com/doc/system-requirements/
I am sure you know, but in the off chance you don’t: PHP 5.3 has not been maintained since for over two years and is considered to have known security issues (https://php.net/eol.php). Your specific PHP version 5.3.3 is even 7 years old (https://php.net/releases/). We really recommend to update to a supported PHP version which does not have that many known security holes.
Again: sorry that you found out after installing it.

In reply to: [WP Mailster] Mailster Paid Version auto-list segmentation and automationHi linuskom,
I think you are referring to another plugin than WP Mailster (there seems to be a plugin called “Mailster” – our product is “WP Mailster”).
You are talking about a newsletter plugin, while WP Mailster is a discussion email list plugin.Hope that helps.

In reply to: [WP Mailster] Shortcodes not working? Thanks for reaching out.
I would like to check out your site as there is not much to configure in order to make the shortcodes work. Thus I am curious to find out why it does not render the functionality.
I have responded to the email you sent me so you can send me the site’s details privately.

In reply to: [WP Mailster] Can you direct me to an active demo site please?Hi Tammy,
thanks for reaching out.
We don’t have a demo available, yet. As the plugin is quite new we focus on finishing up our documentation and fixing any issues that may arise with the early users.
I will add it onto my todo list to create a demo in order to showcase the web based public archive (we call this “frontend archive” on our site).I think WP Mailster is good replacement for Mailman, however it does not work exactly the same. Take for example the “people can subscribe by just sending email to the list with a word like ‘subscribe’ in the subject field” feature you describe.
I know this is a classic mailing list feature but we opted not to implement it.
Why? Because this requires some inherent knowledge of how it worked “back in the day” and we believe it is better to provide newsletter-style subscription widgets that todays uses are familiar with and that don’t require knowledge or explanation.Other than that the majority of mailing list / listserv features are in place in WP Mailster, feel free to checkout an overview of the features on our site: https://wpmailster.com/feature-comparison/
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [WP Mailster] error message in emailsWe have identified an issue where the “Allowed to send/post” settings were not stored. Thus the emails were rejected.
The problem was resolved in v1.4.4 which we just released.
