  • Hi there, I love this theme and I figured out all my other issues (like being able to use upper and lower case in the title — just delete text-transform: uppercase; ) (obvious, but it took me a while to find it.

What I haven’t been able to do yet without breaking theme is to increase the minimum font size from 1.2em to 1.4em. (even tried 1.3em — it makes everything look completely screwy).

I’m finding the 1.2em extremely hard on the eyes, even with stronger than usual reading glasses on. (might help to switch to lucida but I hate monotype and don’t know how to change that either).
Is there a way to make the minimum type-size larger? Even if I could only increase the actual post-size and didn’t touch comments, etc., it would still be a big help!
    Many thanks,
    Amy

There are several threads on this same subject that have existed for months and so far as I can tell, none have been answered.

Also, please note that neither post2blog nor blogdesk nor livewriter will work with WordPress due to this same xmlrpc.php error.

    WordPress no longer works with:

    post2blog

    scribefire

    blogdesk

Even if there’s some incredibly obvious solution that all of us are missing, can’t somebody who knows the answer at least give us dimwitted souls some clues?

I mean come on, this thread has been hanging around for months and months, please help already!

    Thank you.

Hi, Category icons isn’t working for me at all, even without custom query string. shows up in options, but no icons on the posts (I only use icons for one category, featured — don’t know if this matters).

Anyhow, I’m also looking for a category icons hack or an alternative plug-in that works with Ella, so if anybody’s got any ideas, many thanks!

thanks, you guys, I grabbed chenpress and I really appreciate the quick response.

Already using it and I love it, except it doesn’t seem to work in firefox and I normally keep internet explorer grounded. I did post this issue to Chen’s google group but if anybody else has any experiences using Chenpress with firefox, I’d love to hear about it.

Also, I was wondering if there was an appropriate place to post to share tips about free and nearly free hosts I found that have the Fantastico script for WordPress auto-install. One was completely free, 100 megs, 2 gigs traffic, another $15 a year, unlimited space, unlimited traffic — and those are just the two I tried myself to check out their support (which was good!)there are others with similar deals.
I have no connection or affiliatian at all to these hosts — they’re just sites I found shopping for myself.
There may be others like me who really want to use wordpress but are afraid to do the traditional installation.

Hi, I tried to download it and it isn’t there and it’s a month after this post — anybody out there know where to download chenpress?

wow, this is great — can’t wait to try it. thank you, Denis — very generous of you to explain all this.

wow, I’d really like to do this too. I’ve got a great web page designer that’s actually freeware (wysiwyg web builder, pablo software, pretty amazing and very easy) but I’d still prefer to do it with wordpress.

I thought I’d instantly find a plug-in or something for it — I’m surprised lots of people haven’t tried getting a static front page.

Anyhow, if I find a workaround or figure it out, I’ll post.
