Like kYem said, is it possible to load the slideshow css statically, so that we do not have to rely on admin-ajax.php?

Loading the slideshow css through wp-admin/admin-ajax.php seriously slows down my site. It adds about 1.5s to the load time, according to Pingdom Website Speed Test

Just found a cool free cdn with wordpress plugin for hosting images – cloudinary.com – if you could give us option to add image slides from our wordpress cloudinary library, that would be awesome!

No need to change any file permissions. Leave them at the default of 755 for all wp-content folders.

Try doing this:

Login to your wp-admin at https://(yoursite.com)/wp-admin

go to settings – > media

ensure that the media upload path is set to the default of:

wp-content/uploads

If there is no option to change the media upload path, then it is already at the default, and this fix will not help you.
