In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Getting spammed !It should definitely not been a forced option. Automatically removing everyones V2 keys is a bizzare move.
Until the author updates to fix the plugin you can download a previous version here:
https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/contact-form-7/advanced/
Just scroll to the bottom and use the dropdown menu to select the last version.
If you ever need to do this with other plugins, go to the main download page for any plugin and on the right hand side there’s an option ‘Advanced View’ just above the ratings.

@slowsilva Uploading the old version does not remove your forms, I don’t know how the OP in that thread ‘downgraded’ but copying over the old files will downgrade it and not touch your forms. I’ve downgraded 20+ sites and none have had issues like that.

Installing the old version doesn’t remove your forms, I’m not sure how you downgraded but just copy the old files over into the plugin directory. The forms are stored in your WP Database.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] v5.1 is causing LOTS of SpamForum: Reviews
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Last update is bad!The new version is forcing you to use recaptcha v3 – v2 keys don’t work and cause the plugin to break. Awful move by the dev. Either use v3 keys or roll back to the previous version.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] WordPress 5.0 Version issue@jaweedkhan The new version is forcing you to use recaptcha v3 – v2 keys don’t work and cause the plugin to break. Awful move by the dev. Either use v3 keys or roll back to the previous version. That’s the only option. You cannot use V2 with the latest version of this plugin. (It’s not an issue with WP 5)

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Please bring back recaptcha v2@beccalinford just roll back to the previous version of the plugin until they update to include the choice. No way they keep it like this as most people will ditch it!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Integration warning, can’t clear it@bruceinlouisville You can’t clear the warning without entering keys.
Options currently are to either roll back to the previous version or generate v3 recaptcha keys and enable it on the site.
@takayukister Can you at least include the option for v2 or v3 in an update or at the very least the ability to disable it completely as a lot of people wont like v3 with it’s annoying badge on every page.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] No need to change the reCaptcha version!I wondered by all my sites were bombarded with spam today. Why remove functionality that’s supported by Google? I could understand if it was EOL but it’s no where near it. Had to roll back a version until this is changed or I will need to swap to a different plugin.
