I added it to the childtheme style css file as instructed

It did not change the colour of the links in the post or on the pages.

Thanks so much for getting in touch.

I tried adding your solution to the addition CSS of theme. I hit publish and refreshed the page but the error still remains.

Here is a screenshot of the code inserted into the custom cSS
