Thank you for your reply. I updated my version of Postie to the latest. I then sent a test post. The date in the test post is ‘date: 03/25/17 15:59’. In the past when I’ve included a date, and edited the post in the WordPress GUI the date listed in the Publish section was exactly what was in the date field. That no longer happens. Instead the date is always ‘Publish immediately Edit’. I have a screenshot at wordpress publish section screenshot. The title issue appears to be resolved with the update. I’m unsure of why the subject line appears that way in the raw email. I send the categories a space then the title in my email.

I have installed the Support AddOn and sent a few email posts over the past two weeks. The behavior is the same whether I use ‘date’ or ‘Date’ or ‘DATE’. The Publish section displays Publish immediately instead of the date specified.

I also noticed that spaces are removed from my post titles. My posts begin with the numerical year followed by a word – sometimes all uppercase, sometimes not – followed by another word with an initial capital. The space between the year and word is removed. I’ve determined adding ‘ ‘ will allow me to retain formatting. I tried adding multiple spaces after the year, all were removed. When the second word was all caps the space following was also removed. This is also new behavior since the upgrade.

Thanks for the advice. When I tried to telnet from the same machine that Postie is installed on I was unable to do so. Turns out there was an issue with the site’s web host.
