Thanks, will get with my hosting company. The only way to upgrade in 2.5 is to do it with FTP there is no upgrade button. So the outdated SQL is what is causing the problem?

Still, how do I delete the blog?

esmi, yep, sure did.
I take it that was the wrong thing to do. No database backup, not a real priority, as I was going to completely change the blog.
Old info was useful-but not applicable to new blog.
