I’m having a LOT of people register this week, about 200! since my online senior college is using the forum for posting zoom links, class syllabi, etc. Many seem to register easily, but quite a few do have problems registering. THIS IS NOT A WPFORO issue, since Wpforo only uses the standard Word press registration. Since you did register eventually, search your mail for the sender and see if the original registration msg ended up in Spam or Trash or Junk… Some of that has to do with gmail screening of messages, and it’s highly annoying. I suspect the WPforo team gets very very tired of answering registration questions, for their forum or for the forum the rest of us are setting up. Note, however, that if people don’t log out, and do successfully register once, they’re set for a while.

Since I’m running MY forum, and I get a complaint, I usually just go into members and delete the person having a problem and ask them to try again. I do have quite a few people using a comcast ID who register successfully. Others, who mistype “hotmail” as “hatmail” for instance, have problems.

They say, if you read their documentation, that wpForo itself is entirely free; the addons you see in the top menu cost money. I have implemented it in the past few weeks completely with the free version, gotten help, etc, and it is working great!

It’s okay. I’m all set. I thought I had posted that I’d found the notification button and closed the topic. The plugin is actually quite good and I’m enjoying exploring its possibilities.

Actually, although it no longer says “your post is being held for moderation” it IS being recorded as needing attention in the dashboard. Any idea what button I didn’t push right?

I am having a terrible time with the large white space. I’ve decommissioned plug-ins, nextgen, etc, added back — but I get a white space which hides the galleries and albums, so that although I can create new ones, and the old ones on the site look fine, I can’t maneuver them at all. The white space almost (but not fully) HIDES the proper display. I can see the albums and galleries below it, but I can’t make it go away!

I now have this working with image-browser template. Don’t know what I did, but I’m not going to mess with it further!!

In NextGen II, v. 2.0.4, I can’t get the descriptions, titles, or tags – none of them! – to show. I have only three galleries, short ones. I deleted the three galleries, deactivated NextGen, re-installed it, re uploaded the pictures to galleries and put the album on a new page. Still no titles. For a brief shining moment I saw them, and then they went away again!! and I swear I hadn’t done a THING!

This is for a retirement community, to showcase pix one of the residents takes. I’d really like for the names of the people to show.

Actually I found the answer to this. I had, in the Weaver options, ticked to NOT show the right sidebar widget. I wanted it to show the bbpress sidebar and had edited THAT. Once I unticked that, so that the right sidebar showed, the bbpress one showed up properly!

Did you, or anyone ever come up with an answer to this? I have a very simple site, using weaver II and bbpress for a forum. There is a bbpress tweak plugin which creates a single sidebar just for this purpose, a single page sidebar. But I can’t get it working. Anyone know of a how to?
