I am still trying to figure out layout with columns and rows etc. I think this is the root of my problem. I thought I could work with a template layout and just keep copying and pasting… doesn’t look like I can do that.

So until I figure out how the columns and rows layout works… I will keep on plugging away through trial and error.

    thanks.

    I am confused with this:
“In the href attribute, put the permalink to your page. Also include a target attribute with a value of “_blank”. Include an ID or class attribute too.”

    1. How can I find the permalink to my page? I have parked my site for now. Do I need to unpark it?

    2. For the target attribute with a value of “_blank”… is the ” _ ” the value I use or do I assign any value?

    3. For the ID or class attribute, how do I assign this value?

And finally, I will have several images that I want to do this with… will that affect this process that you have advised?

    Thanks.

    Evan,
    Thanks for the reply.

I am trying to show visitors my ‘Project List’. The project list itself is divided into sections. I have 8 sections. I will show all 8 sections of the project list via 8 independent images on one page. Each image will represent each section of my project list. As visitors ‘hover the cursor’ over each image, I would like a title to pop up over the image (ie. ‘Hospitality project list’ or ‘Transportation project list’) and allow visitors to click on that title to view the respective project list on a separate page.

Essentially, I am trying to create the same experience as a ‘drop down’ menu, but through a clickable image (with text that will show up over the image once the cursor is hovering over the image).

    1. Is the title considered a tooltip? I am unfamiliar with a lot of terminology here.
    2. Do I need an URL to link to a different page on my website? My website is still under construction so I am not sure what I would use as an URL.

Does this make any sense at all or am I creating confusion?

Any further info you might have, or if you need further information, please let me know.

    Cheers.

    Thanks bcworkz,
Huge learning curve for me. I will try this out and see how it goes. Thanks for the direction… I am up for the challenge.

Any chance you might revisit this post to answer any future questions I might have about this scenario?

    Hi Frankie,

Sorry for the long-delay in responding. At present, I only have time on weekends to work on my webpage, and thus the reason why I am late in responding.

Thank you for the information. I have updated my web page as per your direction.

    Cheers.

    Here are 2 screenshots.

    Screenshot 1 – https://snag.gy/AFzlb0.jpg
    Screenshot 2 – https://snag.gy/YsXSGZ.jpg

You will see the horizontal dimension of the content background (grey box) in the submenu of the first screenshot is much ‘shorter’ than in screenshot 2. Screenshot 2 represents the ‘default’ format as per the theme, whereas screenshot 1 represents my new added page to the menu.

How do I create a new submenu that will have the same content background as in screenshot 2?

    Thanks,

    Brikke

    Hi Frankie,

    Thanks for the reply.

How do I add a screenshot here?

    Thanks again.
