In reply to: [SpiderCalendar] why the events are not showing on the frontend calendar?UPDATE: After staring at it and realizing the current dates weren’t lining up, I discovered you have to change the “default year” setting in the calendar. Due to the new year, the calendar defaulted back to the beginning of 2015, which is why my events weren’t showing. So each year, you have to manually update the year. Seems to be working now, but wish it would just work automatically. Thank you.

In reply to: [SpiderCalendar] why the events are not showing on the frontend calendar? My plugin was working fine–everything was visable, but now none of my events will show on the frontend widget either.
The site is an intranet site, so I can’t link it, but can provide a screenshot if you’d like.

In reply to: Create separate logins to access one secure employee pagethemartinlopez,
I ended up making a website on our server instead that all employees have access to (on our intranet). That way, it isn’t necessarily online and it is only accessible to our employees.Just had some server issues when installing, but all minor.

In reply to: Create separate logins to access one secure employee pageHi Webbrewers,
I’m not fluent in programming, so I need a little more direction if I’m coding something. I’d need separate users to log-in and only see one page (with links to files/pdfs/docs), but that one page needs to be secure and not be indexed by Google as well.I did see a few plugins that may do what I’m looking for. My biggest concern is security and keeping this page out of the public eye. I’ll check out that s2member plugin you mentioned.

In reply to: Create separate logins to access one secure employee page*bump*
Hi there.
I wouldn’t want to change the way things are currently working and mess it up since I’m not a fluent programmer, so I just disabled it from the news pages. I’ll just leave it as it is for now (we have a page and wiget that shows events, so it should be fine).
Thank you!

In reply to: Upgrade Database to 3.5.2: Loop/Not WorkingHi guys, it has been awhile, but in the mean time, version 3.6 came out.
I did deactivate plugins, switch to 2012 theme (from version 3.5.1 b/c I was unable to update to 3.5.2), and run the upgrade with no problems. Database error didn’t occur this time around.
My host also mentioned that he changed the permissions on the wp-config.php file previously from being more restrictive (400 I believe?) back to the normal permissions, so we won’t ever know if that was the issue at hand or if it was just version 3.5.2 upgrade. Most likely, it was the upgrade itself.
So with all that said, my problem was fixed with the new upgrade!

In reply to: Upgrade Database to 3.5.2: Loop/Not WorkingSo far, nothing has worked. Does anyone have a solution? I am using a child theme of the WP Start theme.

In reply to: Resize Original Image File Already Uploaded? It has a poor rating and hasn’t been updated for the latest version of WordPress–is there something that is more updated and compatible with 3.5.2?

Followed procedure to remove old plugin and tables and install new one. Worked fine. Changes theme to default, deactivated all plugins, and ran the update… same thing happened.I could really use a hand!

Can’t seem to locate the issue, but we now believe the the database loop/issue is related to a specific plugin, WP-table-reloaded, which just recently is no longer supported, but they do provide a new plugin, Tablepress, to use in place of it.I am going to migrate to the new plugin and get rid of the old one and see if I can run the update through after that.
Will keep you posted!

Reverted back to previous day installation; everything was working fine as expected. Tried switching theme to default (TwentyTwelve) and then running the update. Ran into the same loop/database won’t upgrade issue. ??Forum: Fixing WordPress

We reverted the installation back to the previous day and will try again tomorrow to see what we can do. Might try to switch to the default theme before upgrading and see if that is a possible answer. Will update tomorrow once I have a chance to work this out.
