In reply to: Upgrade Database to 3.5.2: Loop/Not WorkingNothing from that specifically–I think they were errors when I was loading the website while re-installing the other files.
“no such file/directory.. etc etc.” from load.php.I don’t see anything else related.

In reply to: Upgrade Database to 3.5.2: Loop/Not WorkingChanged child theme folder name, reset plugins in phpMyAdmin, deleted all files except wp-content folder, .htaccess, and wp-config, and that page to use is the one that it is running me through in the first place that is looping, but tried again after I did those options.
Nothing changed. Still having the looping issue. :/

In reply to: Upgrade Database to 3.5.2: Loop/Not WorkingHi Esmi,
I tried switching the default theme. It was a child theme, so I changed the child folder and added “-old” to it.Resetting the plugins via FTP doesn’t work b/c I can’t access dashboard, but I’ll try doing phpMyAdmin (which I’m not very fluent in)>
And you wouldn’t want to delete the wp-config file though, correct? That’d be bad!
And how would I manually run the upgrade.php file?
Okay, same issue, but didn’t want to have multiple threads. Ty.
I, too, am having this issue. I manage multiple sites and this one I’m working on is the only one doing this. I, however, DO have an upgrade.php file. Just keeps looping upgrade database and nothing happens when I click on it. :/
(And my site is also not seen as malicious–its good to go there too.)

In reply to: [Theme: WPStart – Child] Footer Widgets MisalignedI’m in a child theme right now (well, the supposed one). I’m not making any edits to the parent. What I edited today was the “child” so-to-speak.
And the child is the theme activated that I made the changes to?
You lost me again.

In reply to: [Theme: WPStart – Child] Footer Widgets MisalignedWell, that isn’t a big issue. Easy fix and when I get back to the office, I will re-write the css for teh child theme to include only the necessary elements.
Thanks!

Thank you, that definitely did the trick. I see what happened–that particular piece in the theme was called “.sidebar-footer .widget-area”, but with the new update, it no longer works that way. That did the trick and I adjusted the .sidebar property as needed.…how did I overlook the obvious? :/
@wpyogi
I’m not following you exactly–I have a child theme based on the template with all the template information in the top and my theme has the required css file in another directory. Is it because it contains most of the style of the parent?Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: IE Issue with Child "Delicate" ThemeWell, there was something wrong in the style.css file, so I reset it back to the parent to see if it would work then and it did.
Have no idea what caused it to go bonkers, but it has been resolved by using the original parent style and working from that instead, nice and fresh.

In reply to: IE Issue with Child "Delicate" ThemeThe client is getting upset with me b/c they don’t understand the IE is picky and that I have to code to include all and they think that one code should work across all browsers like “other websites”.
So if there is an IE 8 fix for jumbled navigation, I’d love to hear it! I’ll continue my search on google as well!
EDIT: I emulated IE 8 in my IE 9 browser and STILL didn’t have the problem that they did.

In reply to: IE Issue with Child "Delicate" ThemeThanks, Andrew.
I’m not fluent in WordPress programming, but using precreated themes and adjusting the CSS.I’m in the process of finding out that information.
Thanks!

EDIT: They are using Version 8.0 … of Internet Explorer and the version I was previewing at home is Version 9.0.

In reply to: [JQuery Vertical Mega Menu Widget] JQuery Magic Menu – Sub Menu Cutting OffRequired to change the .widget position of the parent them with an override in the child from “relative” to “absolute”. Works great now!
