Thanks, I saw it. I was a bit overwhelmed because I didn’t use WordPress for a bit and so many plugins now want you to pay for them. It becomes a bit much.

So the problem went away on its own. But both plugins (EC and WF) got updates meanwhile.

That did not work. I changed the permalinks back and forth, flushed cache, no change. The url ends in ?name=events while the rest of the site has pretty urls. /events/ does work.

Can I follow up on this to see if I get it?
Scenario:
Subscription via Discourse adds users to an exclusive group.
Wordpress content could be automatically posted in this group
Wordpress content could, via WordPress membership plugin(s), be limited to that same group of users (perhaps with some manual administration).

Now if the users membership expires or is cancelled, would that sync with Wodrpess? Effectively cancelling their access to the WP site?

Reason is I can imagine to move the site to Ghost or some other platform one day. So to have SSO via Discourse would be easier.

It does, thanks! I see the change now in the description on the plugin page too. I always try to wait with point releases to update until all plugins in use report they are compatible.

I just installed Sidebar Manager which does the same, slightly different. It is compatible with 5.4.1

Checked compatibility? It’s apparently not compatible with the latest WordPress version.
