In reply to: [Genesis Simple Hooks] Is this plugin abandoned?I have the same question; I use this plugin on LOTS of sites.
THANKS!!! Your excellent plugin … and prompt response are MUCH appreciated!!! ??
Likewise on about 2 dozen sites I maintain; interesting that WordFence flags most of these 4 files as “low priority” but “high priority” on 2 of them.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Disabled Autoptimize for PDF Embedder pluginThat worked perfectly, thanks! ?? I just added the suggested directory as follows:
Settings > Autoptimize Settings > JS, CSS & HTML > Javascript Options > Exclude scripts from Autoptimize: >
before:
wp-includes/js/dist/, wp-includes/js/tinymce/, js/jquery/jquery.js, js/jquery/jquery.min.js
after:
wp-includes/js/dist/, wp-includes/js/tinymce/, js/jquery/jquery.js, js/jquery/jquery.min.js, wp-content/plugins/pdf-embedderMUCH appreciated! ??
Thanks for the if-menu plugin recommendation; works great; MUCH appreciated!!! ??
WPforms support helped me find the (now obvious) fix needed for the Login and Registration pages, but I still need to figure out how to hide (restrict to specific roles) 2 category pages that I’ve added to the top menu. Any suggestions, anyone? THANKS!
I also just discovered that 2 pages that SHOULD be publicly accessible are not; this may be a WPforms issue so I’ll ask their support, but I suspect not. Here are the 2 pages that should be accessible to all, but aren’t, apparently blocked by the Members plugin, even though I haven’t set any restrictions. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help. ??Hi again Arreane… Is there a plugin (or some other way) to use a shortcode widget with the classic editor? If not, I’ll just make a full backup and try the (Gutenberg) block editor with this site. THANKS!
Thanks again Arreane… I’m puzzled, since the MetaSlider plugin is DEFINITELY installed and running, since the preview (a 3-slide slider) works perfectly, and I already DID try temporarily switching to Twenty-Twenty One and disabling all other plugins, which didn’t resolve the issue. Here’s a screen snap of the plugin on the GoGetCovered.com backend: https://gogetcovered.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/GoGetCoveredDOTcom-MetaSlider-plugin-Screen-Shot-2022-02-07-at-7.05.08-AM.png …
Are we both looking at the same website (https://gogetcovered.com/), or am I cluelessly – not uncommon! – missing something? ?? Thanks for your persistence and patience!
Thanks for the super speedy response! I just double-checked and MetaSlider 3.25.2 is running on the site; https://gogetcovered.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=metaslider … I also checked the (3-slide) preview for [metaslider id=”628″] and the preview runs just fine. Is there a compatibility issue with WP 5.9 perhaps or something that is now required to have shortcodes work in “Home-Top” Genesis widget in the Lifestyle Pro child theme? Any further suggestions? THANKS!!!

In reply to: [Simple Links] Alternatives to Simple Links plugin?This plugin “Link Library” (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/link-library/) seems to be working well to replace “Simple Links” …
I’m using it on this sidebar widget “LINKS TO OTHER NEWS THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST” on this site: https://yachatsnews.com/.
To hide the category heading, I used this CSS:
/* Hide link categories when only using 1 category */
.linklistcatclass,
#links-of-interest {
display: none;

In reply to: [Simple Links] Alternatives to Simple Links plugin?I have the same question; I deleted the plugin from one site that wasn’t using it, but another has almost 1000 links and I’d like to find a good alternative ASAP; anyone using one of these with good results?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
I have also been getting a number of errors with “An admin user with the username <actual-legit-username> was created outside of WordPress.
Type: Unknown Administrator” since these are legitimate users I made when WordFence wasn’t active (using Local by FlyWheel to do major upgrades on sites) I don’t need to see these “HIGH” alerts, yet when I tap “MARK AS FIXED” the problem seems to go away for a short while, but resurfaces again soon. Any reason why the “MARK AS FIXED” option is only temporary? THANKS! ??
