I’ve had this issue recently too — I have to make a dummy post as it will show the NEXT to most recent post on the homepage, but not the actual most recent.

I have returned to the new theme header.php file. I knew there was something with the .site-title element, I just wasn’t sure how to deal with it. Does this mean I should have no custom header in place through the WP Admin page?
