In reply to: I want anyone to see a way to add commentI have now researched forum software. I want to continue to use wordpress. I just want people to be able to post. All that is involved is to change the word “Comment” to “Post” and to show it. Most people will not know the difference. My site is for non-bloggers. They are barely computer literate. I just want it to be easy for them to take part in an on-line discussion.
Of course, I still haven’t figured out how to show the full
“comment”. I want expanded views so that it looks like one post after another. Thanks anyone who can help with that.

In reply to: How to modify the Meta info on blogI found it and fixed. It was in main index template (I guess the theme was designed before widgets).
I removed the meta stuff.

In reply to: How to modify the Meta info on blogUnder Presentation, Widgets, I see this:
No Sidebars Defined
You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.

In reply to: How to modify the Meta info on blogClayton, can you tell me how to expand the view so that comments show up without having to click on them. I have searched the control panel – every option and feature and cannot figure how to do that.
Thanks very much!!!

In reply to: How to modify the Meta info on blogThanks Clayton,
I realize the site shows a sidebar, but the folder is not there. Strange I know. I have gone to the server directory and looked around thoroughly in that theme directory. And I don’t even think the sidebar option was turned on but can’t be sure of that. It is beyond me.If there is something else I can look for I will be happy to report back. Thanks again.

In reply to: I want anyone to see a way to add commentWhat is the difference between a forum and a blog? I have the blog setup so anyone can comment. Why can’t that be called a blog?
So can I let everyone be an author and then post?

In reply to: Comment still not showing. That just popped up. It wasn’t there when I posted. So I guess it takes a bit over an hour for comment to post.
But thanks for your help.

In reply to: Tabs above header do not link to pagesI need to add the urls to links and not sure where to put in the url.
Here is partial code from one of my blogs header.php:
<div id=”navitabs”>
<h2 class=”hide”>Site menu:</h2>
“>Home<span class=”hide”> | </span>
Brunswick<span class=”hide”> | </span>
SSI<span class=”hide”> | </span>
Sea Island<span class=”hide”> | </span>
Front Page
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
As you can tell, I have named the tabs but not sure where exactly to put url. For instance, the url for Front Page is >>> https://www.coastalviewpoint.com
How would I put that after the tab reference to front page??Thanks so much!!!
