In reply to: [Aqua Page Builder] Latest Version Incompatible with WordPressYes, I have the same problem. Can someone take a look at what might be needed to fix this? Currently we’re just disabling the plugin in order to access the admin panel, but it breaks the site itself until we re-activate it. Thanks!!

In reply to: [Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log] Delivery failuresThanks. I hadn’t actually configured SMTP Postman to use that new address yet, it’s failing from the same account I had been using. I just sent a new message with just plain text and it they still all bounced. I’ll see if Google follows up with an explanation. Thanks again,

In reply to: [Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log] Delivery failuresThanks for looking in to this. I think this happened because I created a new Gmail account I was going to switch to in order to prevent mails coming from me. It was confusing people when people were subscribed to forum topics on bbPress and they thought they were from me (given the notifications come from my email). That new account I created had some of the same info (ie – name, same cell phone, linked to my other Gmail account, etc..). I wonder if Googles outgoing spam filter is smart enough to consider that someone is sending a mass BCC email from a Gmail account tied to the same cell phone/name as a few others. Either that or they just strengthened their spam filter such that I am no longer allowed to BCC 30 users at a time.
I decreased the batch BCC to 10 for next time and deleted the additional Gmail account I intended on using. I also had some shortcodes in the email that I’ll remove manually next time (maybe Gmail finds those suspicious). Hopefully that helps.
Google also has a contact form on that page if you want to explain to them why your message wasn’t spam. If they follow up with an explanation/remedy I’ll update this. Thanks again!

In reply to: [Twenty Fourteen] Problem creating child themeFor sure, lesson learned. I was thinking the same when I started undoing my customizations to the parent theme due to conflicts once I implemented the child…”should have done this in the first place”, and now the menu/widget issue had me saying it again ?? Hopefully that’s it and there’s nothing else I haven’t noticed yet. Thanks again!

In reply to: [Twenty Fourteen] Problem creating child themeOops…you’re right. I’m not sure how everything got moved around like this just by applying the child theme, but I’ll make sure to take screenshots of current settings and a full backup of the live site before doing this for sure ?? Thanks again!

In reply to: [Twenty Fourteen] Problem creating child themeThanks, that all looks ok. I’m basically just trying to do this on a copy of the site in a sandbox first before I do it on the live copy. Here’s a few screenshots if it helps, but understand it may not. The white boxes are just sections I’ve removed where there’s a name or something else. Normally nothing at all appears on the bottom of the page.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [Twenty Fourteen] Problem creating child themeThanks for the reply. It’s very strange… Like you said, the appearance locations were not set, however setting them back as well as re-adding/configuring all my widgets just results in the content now being where it is supposed to as well as duplicated at the bottom of the page where it was displaying before. It seems this information is stored somewhere else given widgets that were missing were still showing at the bottom of the page (ie – Recent Posts was gone from the widgets section but WAS displayed at the bottom of the page). Odd that this all gets reset, but thanks for pointing that out, I hadn’t even thought to check there.

In reply to: [Twenty Fourteen] Problem creating child themeThanks, I had tried that but no luck. My left sidebar has moved to the top of the page and most of the content on the right sidebar has moved to the bottom. The site is login protected since it contains private information to the club that it’s for. I’m not sure the best way to get you those details other than maybe using the contact info on the web site linked to your user profile here?
Thanks very much. I’ve never noticed the upload plugin option (always thought it had to be done via FTP). The fix works perfectly, I couldn’t be happier with the plugin and the update. It solved the biggest pain I have been having on my site for months now (users getting email delivered to spam, or not at all…only 35% of users (with bad spam filters) were actually getting emails). Thanks again!
Thanks so much, that’s great news. This will also fix another issue where I use another plugin (email users) to send mass emails to all my users. It has a setting where you can BCC an entire list, or send one at a time…and it only works one at a time currently (which means generating 50+ emails instead of just one with all on bcc).
I assume this will appear as an update at some point? I’m never sure how to do these manually and if just replacing the contents in the plugin directory will remove my configuration. Either way, thanks for the great support!
Well I created the “noreply” account, and now the emails don’t bounce back…but the problem is still no one is being copied on the emails other than [email protected]. I can see in my Gmail sent folder the message was sent, but no one on copy or bcc and mail was not delivered to anyone else.
Correct, I was using the default phpmail. I’m going to try and change the bbPress “noreply” to something that exists, or just create the noreply address on my domain. Thanks again!
Yes thanks, I am using the Gmail API. This is what the bounce looks like, seems like maybe Google doesn’t deliver at all if the To address fails this way?
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain <mydomain>.org by smtp.secureserver.net. [72.167.238.29].The error that the other server returned was:
550 5.1.1 <noreply@<mydomain>.org> Recipient not found. <https://x.co/irbounce>Thanks for the reply. The recipients are not listed in the log as you’ve said, it only shows the To field. The transcript is greyed out, so not sure how to check that. But the emails are not being delivered to the actual users. I’m testing this with a few different email accounts and the only email delivered every time is the “[email protected]”.

In reply to: [Email Users] Mail not delivered to AOLThank you very much for the quick reply. The issue definitely seems related to the difference between the reply address and the wacky address my hosting provider uses. I installed SMTP Postman and got this working very quickly. Thanks again, been at this a while and hadn’t thought of this!!
