Lastly, while testing, I have deactivated all plugins which may relate to logging in and adding actions to the wp_login action hook. In all cases, I get users getting hundreds of badges.

Also, how can I erase all achievement data for a particular user? Right now, the user has 100s of repeated badges and awards.

    Hi Michael,

When wishlist member is disabled, the user does get the badge and the point – but the first time the user logs in, the login process tends to time out and the user gets awarded the badge and points a few hundred times (I have some screenshots but am unable to upload them to these forums). I suspect somesort of infinite loop. When the user logs in the second time, it doesn’t time out and the badge and points are only awarded once.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

Still no success. I have selected

    ‘Earned by “completing steps”
and ‘Require: “log into website” 1 time”

I do have wishlist member installed and am wondering if there is a conflict between BadgeOS and Wishlist member. I noticed a similar conflict using WPAchievements to award achievements upon loggin in as well.

    Best regards,

Oh, and I forgot to ask if there is a way to remove the nomination form from the actual task page? Or to hide the list of nominations above it? Or to specify any options/parameters for that page?

    Hi Michael,

After experimenting more with the nomination shortcodes, I have come up with these conclusions (please correct me if I am wrong):

    1) There are two different shortcodes for nominations which differ only by the word being singular or plural: [badgeos_nomination] and [badgeos_nominations]. This in itself seems confusing and maybe the [badgeos_nominations] shortcode should be renamed [badgeos_list_nominations].

    2) [badgeos_nomination] is for inserting a nomination form into a post or page and it only has 1 parameter for specifying the achievement associated with it. I noticed that the default behaviour here is that subscriber can only view their own submitted nominations above the nomination form while an admin can view all submitted nominations. Is this true?

    3) [badgeos_nominations] on the other hand is for listing ALL nominations irrespective of which achievement it was related to. Is there a way to limit the list of nominations shown to a particular achievement? Adding a “achievement_id” parameter would allow admin to create some kind of “leaderboard” page where successful nominees are mentioned. Also, if we could add the ability to format the list as a simple 2-column table of successful nominees (i.e. those whose nominations have been approved) and the reason why they were nominated, this would be a better format than the current one which looks like this:

    So-and-so nominated for Helpful friend

He helped me with my homework

    Status: approved

Also, it seems that subscriber role can only see their own nominations when using the [badgeos_nominations] shortcode? Is this the default behaviour? In this case, the leaderboard idea will not be feasible. For we would not be able to show a list of all successful nominees since subscribers would be restricted to seeing the status of their own nominations. Is there a reason why the visibility/scope is being limited in this way?

Lastly, could we perhaps combine the [badgeos_nomination] and [badgeos_nominations] into a single shortcode that adds a nomination form and lists the nominations in a nice format. This unified shortcode could have all the parameters of both shortcodes (an more). Then the user could specify whether he/she want to:

    1) Display both the list of nominations and the nomination form (and if so decide whether it should be located above the form or below it)
    2) Only display a nomination form (i.e. no list of nominations)
    3) Only display the list of nominations (i.e. no nomination form)
    4) Associate the nomination form/list with a particular achievement
    5) specify the format of the list of nominations (table format, etc)
    6) specify other parameters: whether to show a search box, whether to show filter dropdown, limit number of nominations, restrict display to nominations of a particular status, etc.

    I hope this made sense.

    Hello,

Whenever I click on either the “Approve” or “Deny” button, I also get a console error when using the web console in firefox:

ReferenceError: badgeos_feedback is not defined @
    …/wp-content/plugins/badgeos/js/badgeos-achievements.js?ver=1.1.0:41

    Hi,

I am using the latest version of BadgeOS and the approve/deny buttons do not work onthe front end and only a hashtag appears at the end of the URL “#”. Perhaps this issue should be re-opened. Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Belal
