By default, you should already have the ability to install/upgrade WordPress and WordPress plugins from the Dashboard, no need for suPHP.

directories on your web host (through your FTP or shell access).After that, reupload the files for 3.0.1.

In the Dashboard, expand the Media tab and click Add New. Then, upload your PDF.
Note: Consider the file size and your server’s limit.
