In reply to: WP.com user doesn’t gain stats permissions that I grantedsimilar problem here. my co-editor doesn’t see a link to the stats at the dashboard.
i didn’t know that he will need to create an own wordpress.com-account though. but the message from BoltClock reads like that wouldn’t change the problem with the login anyhow.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: WordPress 2.5 Inserting Images Issueweird stuff.
but i did try the no-flash-plugin from the sticky post now (did you?) and i can perfectly live with it now. it still looks better than in older versions of wordpress. i think i’ll stick with the no-flash-option.
actually: all in all i am pretty pleased that the upgrade to 2.5 worked pretty well, far better than i expected.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress 2.5 Inserting Images Issuemy problem appears this way:
after choosing an image from my desktop to upload i get redirected to the login screen which looks a bit weird:
https://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m268/defaulty/uploadproblem1.jpgafter filling in name and passwort an error appears inside the flash window:
https://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m268/defaulty/uploadproblem2.jpg
“the requested url was not found on the server”and the images did not appear in the upload-folder (wp-content/uploads/2008/04). there isn’t a solution for me yet except of uploading the pictures via ftp to the server.
i tried all of the possible solutions in the sticky post, except of the no-flash-plugin. i am going to try this now.

In reply to: server error after upgrade 2.3alright, done.
but in the meantime i just deleted the .htaccess and… well… my site is accessible again !
this has been the problem in the first place i guess.
do i need a .htaccess-file ?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: server error after upgrade 2.3nothing changes with .htaccess.
is there really no way to bring the installation back to life without asking my host for help? i wouldn’t really know what to ask for.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Admin approval for new user registrationit would be the best if a black list or something like that would be integrated into a next version of wordpress to prevent sending registration emails to spambots anyhow (before they are becoming members/subscribers).
i know there are several plugins around but i know as well that there can be complications if you use a themed login or other plugins.
actually you can find something really similiar in your wordpress-admin already at options -> discussion -> comment moderation. this option should be expanded to the registration process.Forum: Fixing WordPress
