In reply to: [Wordbooker] PhotosThanks so much. Found the User Guide. I investigated the Feature Image- and got this to work for a new post. There appears no way to change the Facebook thumbnail AFTER the post is published. No big deal- just have to remember to select the Featured Image before posting.
For others that may stumble onto this thread. My wife uses LiveWriter, a free Blog writer that is part of the Windows Essentials package, to compose her blog. When she selects the Publish button with LiveWriter, the Blog is published to WordPress- and since Woodbooker is installed, it simultaneously makes a Facebook post. If she would like to control what photo Facebook displays, then she must NOT publish to blog. Rather she must

Publish Draft to Blog
. Then she can go to her Blog on WordPress and select the Featured Images. Finally, when she selects Publish from within WordPress the current thumbnail will be posted to Fascebook using Wooodbroker.
Steve, thanks so much for your prompt response. Woodbooker is a fantastic Plug-In.

In reply to: [Wordbooker] PhotosThanks so much for your prompt reply. I hesitate to ask this question, because I am sure that it is right in front of me and I don’t see it, but… how do I access the “user guide?” I cannot find it on either your site- or the WordPress site.

In reply to: Missing EmailsI believe that I have found the solution to the bounced email issue. When I
- unchecked
the “Set the return-path to match the From Email” in the WP-Mail-SMTP Plug-In the bad email address is bounced to GoDaddy. Perfect.
Now, I have a way to troubleshoot the main issue: some subscribers not receiving email notifications on some posts- and they do receive on other posts. The next time I will see what bounces back- stay tuned.
Thanks so much for your prompt reply- I have unchecked the Anyone can register in Settings->Membership- and installed the recommended Stop Spam registrations plugin- and deleted all Users in WordPress menu. Now I will just have t0 wait and see ??
I have an unrelated second issue that I will start a new thread.
Thanks again
Thanks for quick reply
Well, this appears to be a cache issue. If I go to the second webpage on another computer it displays fine.
Thanks so much for responding.
I must admit that I am not at all clear who is sending my Blog email notifications. The domain, gradyimages.com, is registered with GoDaddy.com. I would think that they would send. But, after talking with them, they claim there is no outgoing emails from them. I live in Seattle, and use Comcast.net. But I doubt if they send emails since they enails are web-based. That leaves WordPress.com or www.ads-software.com. Frankly, first, I do not undersatnd the differnce between them- and secondly, how, or if, they fit into the email situation. Thanks for trying to help me understand this!
ChrisNOTE: The “Send Email From:” is GradyImages – Photography, Not sure who this is associsted with
UPDATE: I just posted successfully.
So all appears to be well now with the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in set to relay-hosting.secureseerver.net.And I am able to send a test email in Subscribe2: SETTINGS-> SEND PREVIEW EMAIL. But the SEND EMAIL->PREVIEW or SEND continiues to issue an error message:”Message failed! Check your settings and check with hosting provider”
I guess that I am good to go- time will time.
Thanks so much for your prompt, and courteous, responses.
OK- that address works with the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in. I am able to successfully send a test email from this plugin. But, the same issue as described in previous post remains with the Subscribe2 plug-in- I can not send, or even preview, a Subscribe2 test email.
I am thinking of uninstalling, then re-installing Subscribe2. If I recall the subscriber list will not be deleted. But I can not remember what happens to the changes that I made in Settings->Email Templates.
Thanks so much
Thanks so much for your prompt reply, Matt. I did call GoDaddy and had them check my SMTP limit status. While they could not give me any historical data, they did say that my account was reset last night, and that today’s status is zero emails sent.
I tried the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in- but, honestly, I can not get it to work. I am not sure what to put in for the SMTP field. Tried smtp.godaddy.com. I am very new this this!
My GoDaddy hosting expires mid-March. I plan to deinitely move it- but in the meantime, I need to get post notification out.
Shouln’t I be able to see the PREVIEW without getting the error message listed in first post. Could I have messed up a WordPress, or Sunscribe 2, setting somewhere yesterday?

In reply to: Post Notification with 150 subscribers- and ComcastI use Subscribe2- here, I think, is the answer from their documentation. I have yet to try it- but will report back here when I do.:
To enable this feature, go to Settings->Subscribe2 and located the setting to restrict the number of recipients per email. If this is set to 30 then each outgoing email notification will only contain addresses for 30 recipients.
Reminder: because subscribe2 places all recipients in BCC fields, and places the blog admin in the TO field, the blog admin will receive one email per batched delivery. So if you have 90 subscribers, the blog admin should receive three post notification emails, one for each set of 30 BCC recipients.
Batches will occur for each group of message as described above.
