Also, there are no other plugins installed. Just workdpress 4.6.1 and PHP 5.5 on Pantheon.
The permissions ar open for rwx on all 3 user groups.

a little more info. In the log on Pantheon, it shows this error:

session_start(): Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: )
in file: wp-content/plugins/advanced_file_manager_5/php/elFinderSession.php:43

I’ve tried setting permissions on the “advanced_file_manager_5” plugin directory and its subfiles & subfolders to 0775, 0777, and 0755- testing each time. But still have the same problem.

I opened a new issue- https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/invalid-backend-response-json-error/. Please disregard my previous comment ( I could not find a way to delete it )

I have this problem on the server json error but not locally

Which directory are you setting permissions on? I updated it on wp-content/uploads and also a sub directory in it but no luck . My one admin user only has those folders listed under his file manager folders

I bought this plugin but it’s not working ??
