I did check this; as I mentioned above. Everything worked fine untill I updated to 4.7.

I tried to add a new post, to test if that is working or not. And it isn’t!
If I click new post it says: You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.

I found a suggestion to use the wp-dbmanager to repair the database, but it didn’t help. I also found a suggestion to look for the primairy key of the wp-post table and to check auto_increment. I don’t know how, so any directions will help!

It seems that the customizer isn’t working in other teams either. So, it is nog a twentyseventeen issue, but a WP4.7 issue. I’ll post this issue elswhere on the forum…

No ideas at all?
I completly uninstalled wordpress and deleted the database. Made a fresh install, installed plugins, imported the posts etc. Still, customizer is nog working. I can make changes, see them in the preview window, can safe, but noting happend on the actual site.

I also have troubles with the media library: I cannot import images (they are copied to the uploads folder but don’t show up in the library). So something is going completly wrong. Although I made a fresh install.

I need some help with this!

I made a database back-up, uninstalled wordpress and deleted the database. Then started form zero. New installation, updated to latest version (4.7), default theme (twenty seventeen), imported the back-up.
All folder and file permissions are correct. But still no working media library. Actually it’s worse: I have all images in the uploads folder, but nu images in the library; not even when I select a specific month (which worked before new installation). Uploading fails (though the image is copied to the uploads folder).
I think something is wrong in WP4.7 but I have no idea where to start…

I have the same issue when I use the default twenty seventeen theme. Is something wrong with the functions.php from this theme, or do you have a suggestion what part of the functions.php I have to look at?

I can upload (ftp) images to the server. But importing them with wordpress fails.
I cant see images in the library, but when I select a specific month, I do see the images. When I select no specific month (all images), I see only one empty thumbnail.
I checked file and folder permissions, and that looks good…

I have (more or less) the same issue.

I do see my images on my website (as featured images). But, I don’t see them in the library. I cannot upload new images (error uploadin, try again later)

I tried regenarate the thumbnails like suggested above; that doens’t give any error messages (it says succesfully regenerated), but stil no images in media library, and still not able tot upload.

This happend since upgrading to 4.7 with twentyseventeen. Turning all plugins off en going back to twenty sixteen doesn’t help.

So, any ideas?

This is what I was looking for as well, however I have 3 more questions:

1) why is the author shown on the full article, but not on the excerp?
2) is it possible to hide/remove the tags en categories from this line of meta information (probably it is, but how)?
3) is it possible to add text (like “posted on” of “posted by”)?

I have seen some of this questions inother posts in this forum but with answers that worked. At least not when placing it in-line, under the content like Erik is explaining.

Thank you! It worked.

I uploaded images 1300 pix wide. In the media library the imagges were still 1300 pix wide! Now I deleted all images en re-uploaded them (with 825 pix wide) and now it works. For some reason the media library made it a mess.

Anyway, it is fixed. Thank you.

I run a site with twenty fourteen child theme. Now and then, I like to change that and try something new. So I play around with it, and test it, untill I’m satisfied, and then I activiate it. I don’t think I can run another test site, the same time I run my “real” site, can I?

Not sure where to alter media settings, other than with my plugins, but will check that.

I can try reinstall wp 4.1 or the twenty fifteen theme?

If that’s not it, what do you mean by uloading the image, do you mean the picture I use (I tried different images), or the twenty fiteen “image”, or…?
