Patrik, potentially another bug…

We currently have new registrations set to “Require Email Activation”. I created a new account and do receive the confirmation email.

However, when I click the link in the email, it takes you to the login page and says, “Something went wrong” inside a red banner.

I did try to resend link again, but the same issue happened…

2. That is interesting, I wonder if this is tied to issue #1 in some cases… So the author of your posts shows /author/author-name and the commenters on your article have a profile URL of /profile/member-name?
3. Someone commenting on an article should have a profile URL of /profile/member-name, not /author/author-name. Our members profile URL in the comments only appears as /profile. So you cannot click to their profile.
4. Yes, hide the admin bar. We are using a front-end membership plugin so members cannot access or see the wp-dashboard.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, but I was not very clear.

I was asking about uploading photos through wpdiscuz for use as avatars. Today, a user must either log into the back end which we do not allow, use Gravatar, or use a membership plugin so individual users can have their own advatar.

It would be a great feature to add to your plugin to provide the option for users to upload their own avatar for use on the site. The file could drop into a media folder within the wpdiscuz plugin or wp-uploads.

Yes, years ago we added the ability for all cpt to appear on our front page via the functions file. When we tested out this plugin that is when I noticed not all comments were appearing.

The easier route is to toss the needed code into my functions file, if I knew how I would do that. I just don’t want to re-write plugin files to accomplish it. I tried to stare and compare other membership plugin code to add it to yours, but Patrik, I’m just not a developer! hah

We are closing this one out. The more we look into the more it looks like a user device issue. I certainly appreciate you folks trying to look into it though.

Do you have an email where I can send you the url link example?

We defaulted our website in a development environment and the user still cannot see the comments. They can read the comment count, but the actual text comments do not display.

I will do that and try and get the user to test that out for us. Not the preferred troubleshooting method I would like to use, but I understand your position.

Gents, attempting to add more information here. In addition to the styles, I ended up finding scripts running on pages where the plugin is not needed. Would love a way to dequeue these styles and scripts except when actually needed for a member-based page.
