did all above steps.
changed .htaccess to

still getting this login error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function force_ssl_admin() in /home/costaric/public_html/wp/wp-login.php on line 15

have read help file on this function. have played with null, true, false.
fyi, did reload fresh install after played around.

however, my server [hostgator] does not allow ssl for login??

is itpossible problem is with https://www.costaricatierra.com
