    Done. Awaiting a reply…

    Okay, found it: the plugin “WooCommerce Event Manager” was the culprit.

    BTW, Ocean WP was not related at all; I tested with another theme, and had the same problem there. I very much appreciate the response and your time on this.

    Hi, thanks for the response. I copied the site to a dev location (dev.gardenerd.com) so that I can blow it up if needed and not lose the live site. Happy to share a login if that would help.

    I cannot edit the “page” because this occurs with a search result. So it’s the Search page template; no other pages in the site have this problem.

    Checked the menus, they seem normal. Snapshots here: https://imgur.com/a/DeEejTV

    In my dev site, I’m going to start deactivating plugins and see if I can find anything that way. There are a lot of plugins, so it’ll take a bit. I’ll follow up if I learn anything useful.

    Understood. For now, I set the value to Categories only, then used CSS to hide them. Clunky, but it works, and I’ll probably add the snippet before we launch.

    Might I gently suggest that a future version of WC add a fourth option for the display of the store, like “None (shortcodes and blocks only)”?

    If I understand correctly, your suggestion is to create a Store #2 page and set that as the shop page. But in places where there is a link back to the store, like an empty cart or in breadcrumbs, wouldn’t those links be to Store #2 and not my actual shop page?

    Closing.

    Thanks for the reply, and the excellent use of apostrophes.

    I had been experimentin’ with something similar, but using CSS Flex:

    .my-custom-name-field {
        display: flex;
    }
    .my-custom-name-field .forminator-row {
        flex-grow: 1;
    }
    .forminator-row:nth-child(1) {
    	padding-right: 2em;
    }

    Still not there, but closer… and it’ll still need responsive overrides for mobile display. Still, glad to hear the devs are working on something. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks again,

    Same problem here with a client’s registration form. Looks like the JavaScript loader is failing in IE. It works in modern browsers.

    And… never mind. Just found the documentation on shortcodes for Slim Plus and was easily able to set it like:
    [connections template="slim-plus" color="#2361A1" str_select="Select Office" str_select_all="Show All Offices" str_work_addr="Office Location:" image="" image_fallback="" show_alphaindex='FALSE']

    When in doubt, read the documentation. :/

    Thanks for the extra info. Re #1 (messages): I was trying to say that I wish the error message included details specific to that form submission, like “rejected by RECAPTCHA” or “recipient mail server error.” I believe there are at least several cases that generate the yellow box error, but whenever it happens, there’s no easy way to determine what caused it.

    I’ll look again at Flamingo; if it records the errors with any specific details, that might do it for me.

    Again, thanks!

    Thanks Noel, so if I understand correctly, I have to specifically restrict access to EVERY other page or post. And any new posts or pages created after that would be editable by that user, so I’d have to continually remember to restrict those. If that’s true, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to keep up.

    Maybe I can wipe their admin access and just have them login, then go to that page and use the Edit Page link in the top bar. But even then, if they browse to the latest posts, they would have editing access to those in the same way.

    Hmm…

    Thread Starter Brian

    (@bwold)

    Doing that now. Thanks!

    You guys are the best! Done and done. In case anyone else wants it, the revised code I’m using is below (all I did is move the href just inside the div sc_team_member so that it also covers the photo, and also move the closing a tag down). FYI, I tested the social media links in this, and they work correctly, so no changes were needed there.

    Thanks!

    <?php

    namespace ots;

    The image changes on hover, and that’s what people see. Usability is not about instructing users, it’s about matching expectations so that no instruction is needed.

    Regarding the icons, assuming you have z-index set correctly, the icons that are on a higher layer will be clickable.

    Looking forward to a future version. Meantime, is there an override option for that page or would I have to hack the plugin directly?

    It’s been two months. Any news on this?
