    Thanks for the replies.

    The problem I have is that the current “Home” page is the main posting page. I created a page called “Welcome page” and want to make that the Static home page. When I do that I’m asked what page should now be the post page and

    I’m not given the choice of keeping “Home” as a post page but only given the choice of any of the other pages I have created. If I visit the site the page entitled “Home” and “Welcome page” display the same material.

    Hey! I just created a new page and via WP admin =>options => Reading => Static page I selected it as the “Post page”. When I view the site the new page holds all my posts previously on “Home”! So, my issue is closed.

    My site was small so I erased just about everything and reloaded 2.2.3 instead of overwriting and now it works.

    Sorry for taking up posting space.
