PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can somebody help me with this…

The file i have is called recent_posts.php
I know it works because i created a blank php file and popped the script below in and it displayed what i wanted…

<?php include('recent_posts.php'); ?>

BUT, and it s big but, no matter where i put this script in wordpress (hardcoding everywhere) nothing shows at all.

Im pretty much begging someone to help me with this. Ideally i’d like it in my sidebar but just getting it showing in wp is a start. If i wanted to hardcode it in the sidebar where would i put this line exactly and is anything else needed to go anywhere?

Im using wordpress 2.7.1 and the theme is pixeled.

Strange thing is i can run an iframe module with the php script running inside but thats no good to me as i need the links in that php file going to a new page.

Has this been tested in 2.7.1 though?

This is all in MySQL (phpMyAdmin) right?

I’ve come to the conclusion that i just cannot get wordpress to show any kind of php code whatsoever. If i enter additional php codes (like this one) in the sidebar.php, the index.php, anywhere, it wont show any output code at all. I have no idea why not but im willing to part a small paypal amount to anyone who can help me out on this. I’ll grant them permission to my wp to help out.

Yes. Well, i tried but could not get past that part. I kept getting the following error when running the query.
#1142 – GRANT command denied to user…..
I googled it regarding this plugin but there was no resolution. Any ideas?

I have a problem with this.
I have been searching the net high and low for about 3 weeks now for a way to display the recent topics from a phpbb3 forum into wordpress 2.7.1. So far i have tried EVERYTHING and the closest i’ve come to getting it working was by using the iframe method posted elsewhere.

I have tried this method, phpbb_recent_topics, activated the plugin, entered the php code and nothing. The code either displays the code itself and not the output or shows nothing at all.

Can WordPress 2.7.1 actually run php? Im certainly starting to doubt it and have yet to see a working version of phpbb3 topics in a wordpress theme.
Can anyone show me the light and enlighten me please as im not sure if im chasing something that doesn’t work here and wasting my time.

WordPress version: 2.7.1
Theme: pixeled
phpBB3 running on same server.

Im in the process of changing the colours of the iNove theme but having a real hard time finding where to change the colour of the background for the sidebar area. There is a small portion above and a large portion below the widgets in the right sidebar which need to be changed to black. But i cannot find the code in the css files to do so.

A little off topic from yours but im interested in how you got a background image to display in the sidebar. How do i go about doing something like that to mine?
