For your question, No, ever since I installed the plugin, these symptoms happened and never resolved.
I did follow what the course materials instructed, and I successfully implemented up to the setting up the credentials using username, password, and URL. Yet, after activating the plugin, the site did not render anything but the title of the page.
It seems like something in the plugin makes the site untable.
