Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: New install of WordPress in IISAfter some troubleshooting – Working now:
Updated the index.php from:
/** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’);to:
/** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
require(‘wp-blog-header.php’);Esmi,
That is what it was… It works fine now.
It would have been nice if the Download button for WordPress gave you a choice for IIS or Apache.
Thanks for your time
Have a great rest of the evening!
Yes I am sure. Now I just went to the archives files about 10 minutes ago because I needed to see if I could get a older one and see if it made a difference and saw that you had a version for IIS… I think that could be the problem… The version I have maybe for Apache… When I downloaded it gave me the wrong one, I am assuming because the one I had downloaded said wordpress3.3.1.zip and the one I just downloaded is wordpress3.3.1 IIS.zip – So I will reinstall it again with the new download and let you know.
Using the Flash option upload:
“John_Henley.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to d:\servername\lvh\wp-content\uploads\.Then on the right side of the error Dismiss [Crunching…] but nothing happen stuck there.
Using the old standard upload:
It throws you back to the Media Library and a yellow status box on the top of the page with “Error saving media attachment”
I am using a Windows 2003 Server; PhpMyAdmin version 3.0.1.1; MySQL 5.051a; Php Version 5.2.8
This is a brand new setup WordPress 3.3.1 plus using TwentyTen Template.
I have control of the server, these folders are set to full permission – Not my favorite thing to do… ??
Also I can ftp and upload these files manually and hard code the html for it to show on the page.
But cannot use your media library in anyway.
Do you have any suggestions?
This site has be live before the end of the week and I wasted 2 days on this by research and not find anything yet to make it work. I doing this for a client who wants to use this method to update their site…
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I personally think there is a software bug since I have read so many with the same problem. Show me I am wrong… ??
