In reply to: [Frontend Admin by DynamiApps] Plugin shutting down?“I guarantee you that the plugin is super safe” is not an acceptable assurance. There isn’t even any documentation on what changes v3.18.4 introduces.

In reply to: [Advanced iFrame] replacing IDs hypens/dashes with underscoresIt came up before, which is how I found this so quickly:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/does-plugin-change-dashes-to-underscores-in-ids/The problem arises when we’re using 3rd party code that relies on pre-specified IDs, ones that are expected to contain hyphens. It may be exasperated in our situation as our frame source is not in the same domain spaces as the parent frame.
Thanks for the heads up.

In reply to: [Advanced iFrame] replacing IDs hypens/dashes with underscoresIt makes sense when you explain how you integrate the ID into the JS function names, thanks Michael. We can adapt our own code, but this is going to be troublesome when integrating 3rd party scripts.

In reply to: Yoast Premium and Meta DescriptionsSome more Yoast nightmares… the ‘title’ in the ‘Snippet Preview’ section of the Edit Page/Post/etc Yoast [Premium] tab actually edits the H1, *not* the Yoast SEO Page Title, as you’d expect. (Note: We’re going for fully customized Titles and H1’s here, rather than using templates for each post.)
We’re still unable to find any way to edit the Yoast Page SEO Title other than in the Bulk Editor… **surely** we’re missing something here. (We confirmed that all ‘Yoast SEO Meta Box’ settings are set properly [Hide unchecked].) We’re happy to edit the php code if we need to… can anyone chime in here? Premium Support is MIA.
I don’t know if this oversight can be corrected (next version update maybe?), but beware you don’t wipe out all your H1’s with intended Titles.
I hope this insight helps others avoid the same pitfalls.

In reply to: Yoast Premium and Meta DescriptionsSeriously? Yoast moved the title and description into their “Snippet Preview”? They don’t realize that the snippet comes from whatever on the page matches the user search, NOT what we enter into the page meta description? SERIOUSLY misleading. Yoast continues to be a UX nightmare.
I can only hope Yoast 4 conpletely rewrites the user interface. What a nightmare plugin.
Even more fun, WordPress doesn’t let you edit or delete posts on their own support forum.
No wonder people run from WordPress.

In reply to: Yoast Premium and Meta DescriptionsFYI, the “Yoast Premium Support” link in the WP admin/Plugins tab goes nowhere of the kind… it’s a generic “buy Premium” page… we already DID buy premium:
How can the Premium version work worse than the Basic version? Is that even possible?
