Is there anyone from the WP team looking over these issues and either trying to fix any bugs or help users troubleshoot?

UPDATE, 12/07/2018: Another issue I’m having, which is a dealbreaker for me, is the editor completely breaking when I add HTML for Amazon affiliate products. The block itself freezes and cannot be edited or deleted. It was only after I entered code mode—which was not easy to find—that I was able to delete the weird “figure” tag WP added, then was able to delete the block itself. (Unfortunately, the product doesn’t display properly at all.) I hope someone from the WP team is reading these reviews and compiling a list of issues that need to be addressed.

To be fair, @fastpuppy, they did test this as a beta for several months. Any user could’ve become a beta tester.

Had to turn on hidden files in Cpanel, but I nabbed that sucker. Smooth sailing from there.

FWIW, I’ve been with Host Gator for years and their customer service has always been phenomenal. It’s not their fault my cell service sucks. Hopefully their email support will be back up soon. It’s very unlike them to have technical issues. Just wanted to say so because I really am happy with them.
