No, under public_html I just have wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes.

All my files are actually under public_html.

Yes, I’m using bluehost.com as hosting and Filezilla to FTP the files. I’m just not sure what or where my root directory is.

Are you saying I need to have WordPress installed at https://www.gloriadeifamily.org/wordpress/?

How do I move it to the root? Not sure where that is located.

https://www.gloriadeifamily.org is in both url sections.

It won’t let me edit the permalinks to change them from the local ip to the correct url. I really don’t know what to do at this point. I watched a tutorial on WP Migrate DB, and that seems like it would solve all my problems, but Bluehost and my local WordPress site are showing the same information.

I did create the “Welcome” page and that’s what I set my homepage to, but it is not showing up.

The permalinks are in the post-name structure.

I know how to use Filezilla, but I already imported my themes and plugins and it’s still not working…

My theme is Minamaze Pro 1.8.14, btw. It’s showing up in my dashboard, as well. Not sure if that helps.

How do I add my theme and plugins?

So, I have a “Welcome” page created, it says:

Permalink: https://127.0.0.1/wordpress/

And I set my homepage to the “Welcome” page. So maybe that’s what’s wrong? Can I edit the Permalink?

Thanks. I have it set to a static front page, but it’s still showing the generic webpage.

It looks like when I try to access other pages the information is there but not the formatting I created, and it’s still pulling all the information from the generic site, as seen here: https://www.gloriadeifamily.org/sunday-school/

Yes, somehow I now see all my pages and posts, but the generic WP site is still is what’s published: https://www.gloriadeifamily.org/.

Ok, so I followed the rest of the steps and I do already have WordPress installed under my domain name. My problem is that it’s a generic WordPress site, and not the one I created. I went to Tools – Import and imported my XML file, but it did not work.

I tried to follow those steps, but Bluehost does not have a “Simple Script” option.

I don’t think so. I don’t really know what my “database” is. I exported my XML file from the website I created and imported to WordPress on Bluehost, but it’s not working.
