Thanks. The Rate Limiting had been switched ‘OFF’. When I switched it back ‘ON’, in fact those are the exact rate settings that were already in place. A couple of months ago I moved the site under my own hosting plan. Could that have caused the Rate Limiting to be deactivated? Otherwise it was either intentionally switched off or it was an oversight on my part.
I had asked the gateway provider (Heartland / SecureSubmit) if they could provide the IP Address(es) and they mentioned they could not.
Thanks again for your assistance!

Thanks!

Though dated, one of the simplest solutions seems to be dropping the following snippet into the config file:
`define( ‘WP_HTTP_BLOCK_EXTERNAL’, true );

I’m not looking for an authoritative answer.. More along the lines of just putting it out there for feedback.This is for a client (I built site for) that I am now performing monthly site maintenance. It’s unfortunate that the tone of their replies to my requests for updates went from one month ago being “Our developers are working on it right now”, to now just an hour ago stipulating that this particular theme isn’t receiving the same level of attention as other themes.
I mean, I guess that’s understandable when a company that just 18 months ago was selling 6 themes, and they’re now selling 34 of them? It seems that we’re left holding the bag on a theme that should perhaps be retired. Who knows.
As for it costing me business? Eh. I won’t be using these guys again. But my client? It’s tough to say because they’re obviously not able to get at the enhanced feature-set that 3.0.x provides.

In reply to: How long is ‘too long’?Thanks for the reply.
I downloaded it from Envato / ThemeForest. I’m hesitant to name the theme developer, if only to derail from the original question, but it’s Edge’s Hudson theme. When I originally bought the theme about 18 months ago (I’ve maintained a valid support license throughout), they had a total of 6 themes to their credit. They now have 34.
They just responded to my request for an update:
“We cannot release updates for all of our themes at the same time. Because of that, we release updates by theme priority and based on the number of user requests for them.”
This seems to me they’ve either spread themselves too thin or are not retiring themes that should be removed from service in a timely manner. They just took $ from me for 6 months support 7 weeks ago.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Smart Coupons Blacklisted?…Of course what about the gift cards already purchased and that are managed via the extension? Essentially, this puts my client in default with the customers who have store credit via an e-gift certificate, if I understand that the extension must remain active for the credit system to work.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Smart Coupons Blacklisted?Nothing from WooCommerce as of yet.
GoDaddy cited a reduced weekend-workforce (security team, specifically) as to not being able to provide any meaningful answers.
Granted, this is a Managed WordPress solution. I just get the feeling the answer that comes back from GoDaddy is that this was a greater good type of decision, and that I’d have to move my client into cPanel/Linux to get Smart Coupons back.
Think about this: what if your clients had advertising on the web and/or in print media that offered discount codes? I received no notification about this. The GoDaddy support wasn’t even aware of the blacklisting.
