In reply to: [Waymark] Large KML Display IssueGood Morning,
I went looking for a new World Borders KML this morning and came across the ArcGIS site and when I loaded their KML into your Editor and it also came up with unexpected results. I do not know if it is the conversion to GeoJSON or it is the same polygon dataset that I was using. Here is a link to their KML: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=7a8585998b7f470b85235dcdb560c7e2

In reply to: [Waymark] Large KML Display IssueHi Joe,
Sorry for the delay in responding, I don’t get time to work on my site as much as I would like. It sounds like it is an issue with the original KML not forming the polygons correctly. I pulled it off the internet about 10 years so perhaps I have been lucky that the other plugins have not had an issue with it. I will try to find some time to see if the polygons are complete.
If I find anything obvious I will let you know. I will continue migrating my other maps from WP OSM Plugin to Waymark and let you know if I have any problems.
Thanks, Nigel

In reply to: [Waymark] GPX Tracks shadowed with Evelation colourThanks Joe,
I have so many different maps on my site and not all have a GPX, some even have multiple and contain various overrides so a simple Replace All approach isn’t going to work. I may just decide to go offline for a day or two and make all the changes.
I’ll leave this open so I get notified if you find a fix for the elevation colour underlying the trail line colour issue. ??

In reply to: [Waymark] Enhancement Requests: Show units of measure based on userThanks for the quick response.
1 Thanks, I look forward to checking it out.
2 Yes, if there were a way the end user could select the unit of measure that might suffic.
3 Did not know we could do that – thanks!

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10I upgrade my Synology NAS, did a manual WordPress install and that appears to have resolved the issue.
Thanks for the confirmation that I was not missing anything.

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10Yes, I had seen that article but it left me with a number of questions. I have been leaning towards a more distinct separation from the Synology builds (Successfully install WordPress on Synology NAS (part 1) – Storage Alchemist). At this point it looks like that will have to be my path forward as this does not appear to be an issue impacting anyone else.
Thank you both for your suggestions and help.

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10I am using the Synology version of WordPress so I am tied to their release schedule and that is the latest they have published. I am looking at options of a manual WP install so that I can be on more current versions.
However, if it was a WP version issue, I am not sure that would explain why it works on my Windows 10 laptop, but not my Windows 11 desktop. Perhaps the Windows O/S is a red herring but it’s the only difference I can think of. I’ve checked the Network settings that I can think of, even tried turning off Virus and Firewall tools to see if they were blocking some data.

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10Yes, that is what I did “Safe Mode with Networking” but my Network Adapter card does not support that, so it goes to “Safe Mode” without Networking. I have read that this is a somewhat common problem with some network adapters.

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10Hi Barnez,
Sorry for the slow response, these day jobs get in the way. ??
I booted in “Safe Mode with Networking” but it appears that my network adpater (Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller) will not support it. It’s either Safe Mode (no internet), or a regular reboot.Any other suggestions?

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10I am not sure if it is the specific computer or a specific Windows operating system. That is what I am asking the forum for help with. To see if anyone else has come across this problem with Windows 11 (vs Windows 10). It only appears to be impacting this specific WordPress feature (saving Posts).
Thanks, Nigel

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10Agreed, I do not think it is a WP setting/config issue, but I was hoping someone else may have come across this after upgrading to Windows 11, and figured out what is causing it. ??

In reply to: Windows 11 preventing Saving Posts but works with Windows 10Hi t-p
I have disabled all the plug-ins and that did not make a difference. I have not tried a standard different theme yet, but I can try that later today.
However, if everything works from a different computer, how could that be the cause?
Thank you Bryle,
It took some time but my little vacation picture website is up and running – just in time for the Log4j defect scare. ??
Thank you again and Happy Holidays!
Cheers, NigelResolved
In case anyone else experiences this.
For a Synology NAS you need to enable extensions for WordPress in their Web Station application. I am not sure how they got turned off but once enabled everything appears to be working now. ??Steps on Synology DSM 7:
1) Login to your Synology NAS
2) Open the Web Station application
3) Select “Script Language Settings”
4) Select the WordPress profile and hit [Edit]
5) Go to the Extensions tab
6) Enable the needed extensions (bcmath, curl, exif, imagick, openssl, zip …)
7) Hit [Save]
