In reply to: How to prevent Featured Images from duplicating on the Home page?It’s a free theme – Colinear by Automattic. The name’s in the Footer ??
Nobody seems to know how I can fix my problem!We did it! I was changing the CSS in the plugin settings, which was not working. I just pasted the last code you sent into my theme CSS settings, which finally changed the Header background colour to white in the table. Thanks so much for your help and have a successful and healthy New Year!
I placed the code below the other CSS items but it still doesn’t work for me. I tried adding the !important again but this time it was stripped from the code when I saved! Cleared my WP cache, still no luck. I guess I’ll have to wait for Tobias. Thanks for trying!
Thanks for responding, Bob – I added the “!important” part to the code but it made no difference, unfortunately. However, every time I saved the settings a space automatically appeared before the !important, maybe that’s causing it not to work. It looks like this:
____________________________________
.tablepress thead th,
.tablepress tfoot th {
background-color: #ffffff !important;
}
————————————
I can’t get rid of that space.
There doesn’t seem to be any other place where I can insert the code, other than in Plugin Options.Thank you for your quick response, Mr Case! I’ve decided the easiest would be to remove the featured image, seeing that it was already in the post anyway. Best to you!

In reply to: Where to put Amazon "Native Shopping Ads" Code in WP?Alex, I never discovered how to do this for Text widgets so I’m now just using the “Header and Footer” plugin and pasting the Amazon code into the area for “Posts”, so that it displays products beneath the posts.

In reply to: How to Fix "Render-Blocking Javascript" in Above-the-Fold Content?Thank you, Matthew – I agree with you. I’ve tried the “Above-the-Fold” plugin as well, by the way – still get the Google warning, but I’m now getting a diagnosis of 73/100 Mobile, 85/100 Desktop using a combination of these plugins:
* Regenerate Thumbnails
* Speed Booster Pack
* Autoptimize
* W3 Total Cache…so I’m leaving it at that.
Best regards!

In reply to: My WP sidebars are pushed down on Chrome, correct on Firefox – Help!Thanks for the update but it’s still not working in Chrome. I copied the code you supplied as follows…:
<div id=”sidebar-left”>..
<div id=”content”>..
<div id=”sidebar-right”>..#content {
float: left;
}…and pasted it just like that into my “Custom CSS” box in Admin. Again the site loads correctly in FF and IE but not in Chrome.

In reply to: My WP sidebars are pushed down on Chrome, correct on Firefox – Help!Thank you, Samuel, for your response. I edited my theme CSS as you suggested – I want my post content to appear between the 2 sidebars; your suggestion places the content on the left-hand side (as expected) with both sidebars to the right.
I changed the word “left” to “center” and tried again on Chrome but the content still appears on the left side, with both sidebars beneath, as before. I even chaged center to centre, still no change.
To recap: I first played around with all 3 settings (left, right, center) on Firefox – all 3 responses appeared as set; However, on Chrome when I use “left” and “right” the post content appears at left and right (respectively), with the 2 sidebars alongside; but with “center” it again places the content on the left with both sidebars beneath. This only happens in Chrome. I need my post/page content to appear between the sidebars on all browsers.
Clearly, there must be something other than “center” to make this work in Chrome.

In reply to: How to Center Image Caption, please?Thank you, Vodien.com Hosting, you helped me fix my problem! The shaded caption area was “unattached” to the image frame so I removed the shading colour; it now looks much better – and in the centre:

In reply to: Cannot "save" Discussion Settings!Both Moderation and Blacklist spaces are empty on all 6 of my WP sites – and they all won’t save Discussion Settings. I’m now going to contact my Hosting Support and see if they can throw any light on this enigma.

In reply to: Cannot "save" Discussion Settings!Nope – It was not the plugins nor the theme – still getting Not Found when trying to save Discussion Settings. By the way, I’m having the same problem on another site of mine.
