Any widget is not required to put links in the right side bar. All you need to do is

1. login to wp dashboard and select “links” page from the left pane.
2. Add the 4 links one by one
3. Now, go to “widgets” page from left panel
4. Drag the “links” widget into the right side bar. Now you are done with adding links to right side bar.
