In reply to: "…we can't find what you're looking for." on Log-inSorry for all the bother. My knowledge of html is limited. I tried your suggestion and received the following message:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘*’ in /home/carfor12/do-you-have-problems-with-verizon-clueless.org/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 2”
Looks like I placed the two lines in the wrong place. Where In wp-config.php do I insert the lines?

In reply to: "…we can't find what you're looking for." on Log-inThanks for your suggestion, but it sends me directly to the “This is somewhat embarrassing ….” error message I started with.

Thanks for sticking with me. The last tip did the trick. It was the configuration page for the theme. Since you guys helped me set up Google Analytics on my WordPress dashboard, I don’t need it in my theme anymore. As soon as I erased the UA number it disappeared on my blog.
I can’t say enough how pleased I’ve been with your willingness to help. It is not everyday someone you don’t even know goes that extra mile. It has been a pleasure.
Best regards.

In reply to: Google Webmaster Tools ID Appears at the top of my blog.WPyogi,
Thanks for your help. I’ve activated the plugin and it shows up on my wp dashboard. So I suppose that part is functioning correctly.
Unfortunately, my webmaster UA code still appears at the top of the blog. It appears without formating, so gives the blog an unfinished look. Where is the number being generated from? Have I added my UA code in the wrong place without realizing it? The only time it appears on WP is in my SEO settings. Could that be the problem?

Thank you very much for your help. I have the exact code, but being a beginner at this I’m not sure where to look for lines 184 and 184. Is it the index for the blog, or somewhere else?
Sorry to be such a bother.
Best regards.
