In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Four] Featured Image not responsiveHi @jordesign,
Firstly, thanks for the offer, much appreciated and secondly, apologies for the delayed reply.
I have setup a fresh build on a subdomain and the featured image is working fine without any adjustements being made – on my other sites I had specified dimensions in the settings panel for the featured image where used (templates or pages) and this seems to be the cause of my issue.
I will continue to try and fix up the issue so these images can be fully responsive over the next few weeks, but right now I am incredibly busy on other projects.
As I am pretty sure I can sort this out myself now, you can consider this topic resolved, I will come back and update it with the precise steps when I get there, just for anyone else who may read this.
Thans again, regards,
Carl

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Four] Featured Image not responsiveHi Felipe,
Unfortunately not, I could not find an intuitive way to control this in style blocks or page blocks, so I have resorted to using duplicate Groups with the Visibility-Switch workaround.
That site (https://www.brinsleysheridan.com/) only had the one Featured Image – my own new site (https://locust.ie/) is a complete mess as a result of this issue though….
I will explain this in more detail in case it may help others:
Firstly, I installed the Block Visibility plugin by Nick Diego.
Then I went to the Page Template for the site and disabled the Featured Image block visibility for any mobile devices.
I then went to edit the Home Page (not the Template) and added a new Image block at the top, setting it to be visible only on mobile devices.
This is all I have changed so far and is why you probably see it working OK on Desktop and Phone – but for my own site, I have still to setup yet another block for Tablets, as this is not responsive at the moment either.
Then I have to go through that entire process for all the other pages on my site as they all have been built with a Featured Image as their main image as well.
As you can imagine, this is a nightmare and very frustrating as the whole point of the Featured Image used to be its responsiveness.
I don’t know, maybe I missed something, but this is the only approach I can seem to get to work for me at the moment.
Thanks for your reply – I would be interested to hear your own thoughts/advice on this.
Best regards,
Carl Fox

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Four] Full Site Editor problemsHi @stilman-davis,
If I understand you correctly, I think where you refer to ‘elements’ – you mean ‘blocks’ (i.e. headings, links, images, etc.). If this is indeed the case, then when you are in the editor, looking at the Styles, you should also see a link there for Blocks (below typography, colors & layout), where you can indeed find all the many Blocks and their Style settings for adjustment.
This may also aid you in solving the first part of your question re: link decoration. I have just tried adding an underline for the ‘custom link’ block and it works perfectly – there are many other link blocks in there, I am sure they will all work similarly.
Hope this helps you,
Carl

In reply to: Need Help Choosing a WordPress Theme to Match Existing Site DesignHi there @geronimo57,
I’ve had a look at your site and to be honest, you can recreate the entire site using just the standard WordPress TwentyTwentyFour theme, no need to even install Divi.
Using the FSE (full site editor) and blocks it should be very easy to replicate.
Also, integrating your booking system would not be a major issue either.
Feel free to reach out for more detailed assistance if required, and best of luck with the new build… ??

In reply to: Can not edit “site logo” for Twenty Twenty-four ThemeYou are very welcome @uneek,
I am with you on this, the site editor is making great progress, but there will always be some plugins such as security and, unfortunately, caching, which will be required.
Hopefully, small issues like this one will be corrected over time, by Lightspeed or the TwentyTwentyFour team.
Best regards,
Carl

In reply to: Can not edit “site logo” for Twenty Twenty-four ThemeOK, my apologies to the team – this is not a WordPress issue!
Looking back over previous themes where this occurred it became apparent that caching plugins cause the issue – in my case, specifically, LightSpeed.Once the plugin is disabled, the ‘Replace’ option appears again, I changed the logo no problem, then re-activated the plugin.
All good again now – hope this helps others!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Security breach and vulnerability in all versionsI am getting notifications from both my Hosting Provider and Wordfence telling me the same.
Details from Patchstack:
GenialHacker (Jitendra Patro) discovered and reported this Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in WordPress Gutenberg Plugin. This could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into your website which will be executed when guests visit your site. This vulnerability has not been known to be fixed yet.
I have deactivated and deleted the plugin until I hear otherwise from the developers here… ??

In reply to: [Create Block Theme] Embed local fontHi Enestorm,
Sorry I can’t be much help – I don’t even get an error message!
I select the font (I’ve only tried .ttf), click the upload button, it does the spinning wheel thing, reloads the page and says nothing (no error, no success notification).
Then I check with FTP and there is nothing there, the Site Editor does not show the font as an option either, so I presume it just does not upload it.
I have since successfully uploaded the fonts via FTP to the theme ‘assets’ folder and added them to the ‘theme.json’ file by copying the syntax of existing registered fonts – and it’s all working fine for me now.
It would have been sweet if this plugin did it with the click of a button, but I guess not.
Hope you get yours going,
Carl
