You add the categories using Tools > Shortcodes and create a shortcode for each category you created and copy and paste the short code onto your page or post
I just create a simple page with thumbnail images and category name beneath that links to each category page (generated by shortcode) that displays only the products in the category.
Generating Category Shortcodes:
https://thecartpress.com/wordpress-ecommerce/shortcode/ (Use Taxonomy > Categories > Select Category)Applying shortcodes to pages:

In reply to: [Portfolio Gallery - Photo Gallery] Activated Plugin Fatal ErrorNevermind, I updated my version of WordPress to 4.0 and its fine…my version is just too old ??
It connects to Authorize.net, but after I enter the payment information in Authorize.net and redirects back to my webpage
It says:
Checkout
Transaction Error. The order has been canceled
Retry the checkout processIt still says
Checkout
Transaction Error. The order has been canceled
Retry the checkout processI have the following entered from Authorize.net
API Login Key
Transaction ID
MD5 HashEntered Response URL into Authorize.net
What am I missing?
I finally found out why its a transaction error after redirection! I didn’t set up the response url on authorize.net!
I’m really thankful for your quick response…but it would be great if you could help me resolve small issue with user roles…they were perfect plugins with all the functions I needed…but I don’t want too many people to be administrators working on the website because that may conflict with settings and changes…
I posted in Email Post to Subscribers, but no response…:( I don’t want to go through the trouble of changing plugins and setting everything up again…
If other roles can also can also access Email Subscribers, I am willing to use this plugin instead of the Email Posts to Subscribers…whichever works better…I just need the subscribers database in the backend to have other non-admin roles to view the email list too…

In reply to: [Email posts to subscribers] Non-admin user rolesIt was a great plugin with all the functions I needed…I was just surprised only administrator could access the plugin database ??

In reply to: [Email posts to subscribers] Non-admin user rolesLet me know if this plugin is for administrator roles only…if so, I need to switch to another email plugin which allows non-admin roles…

This is also your plugin, but I see no support…that’s why I posted here which was the plugin I had used to begin with…
None of the guidelines include allowing other user levels to access plugin settings in both Email Subscribers and Email Post to Subscribers. That is why I bring out this issue in the forums.
I will clarify my problem in the correct forum, but please respond promptly as you do in this plugin.
Actually, Email Subscribers stopped sending confirmations and I found another plugin that you wrote that may be a previous version called Email Posts to Subscribers that work the same way but sends posts instead.
I guessed the role capability was elp-view-subscribers because when I right-clicked on the View Subscribers link the WP backend on Chrome and clicked Inspect Element to view the Developers Tools…I saw one of the class as elp-view-subscribers…
but I don’t think that is the role capability because when I added the capabililty to the Members plugin…Editor or other non-admin roles could still not see the View Subscribers list…
Email Posts to Subscribers had the similar functions as Email Subscribers, but I saw their forum was not active and I noticed it was the same author and I thought this would have a faster response if I posted here.
Let me know if you want me to post back at Email Post to Subscribers forum.
??
Nevermind, I got it to work

In reply to: [Front End Users] Registration not workingI’m only using the shortcode
[user-data field_name=’First Name’] [user-data field_name=’Last Name’]
I don’t know why after the update, the names won’t log out and just keep adding onto each other
