Linux server – godaddy.
I have few wordpresses sites on my server, each in a different domain, where the site I’m talking about installed on the root.
The wordpress url is my site url.I get the 404 error for example I am trying to “empty spam” or delete plugin/ post/ comment.

Yea I know. I meant it doesn’t populates the database.

the number down there – “35”your function shows the number of posts in a category, just like:
$category->category_count;
what I want is to know the number of a post in a category…. I mean the newest post in a category will be number 1, the second will be number 2…. how I get this number..

I found in my wp-settings.php an base64 code – according to WP Security Scan plugin this is a critical code… I just removed it.
Is it a malware?

Wow, thanks that worked!Now for the details…
After trying to remove plugins and get back to the default theme I noticed that even the wordpress log-in won’t work in IE.
So I thought it must be your last suggestion, and yea, it worked!
Replacing wp-admin and wp-includes with the one’s on my computer solve it.Thanks again,
