In reply to: Migrate New Site to Replace Old WP SiteHey there,
Personally I use this tool for doing a database search and replace when changing domain names:
https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
If your old site has been active for a very long time it may be wise to exclude changing the “guid” row when running this tool. Hope this helps!

In reply to: Page not found only with postsHi Pedro,
So glad that fixed it for you! Sometimes plugins can cause permalinks to get a bit messed up. Hopefully that doesn’t happen for you again. Have a great weekend!

In reply to: Problem to log in WP 4.1Did you look at your htaccess to ensure it had the proper rules? You will need to use FTP to view your htaccess file. You may need to contact your host to get these credentials if you aren’t sure

In reply to: Problem to log in WP 4.1Hey there
Thanks for posting your own topic ??
So, I would double check your htaccess file to be sure it has the standard WordPress rules as found here:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/htaccess
I say lets start there and see how that goes. Let me know and if it doesn’t work, please share a link to the site. Thanks!

In reply to: Upgraded to 4.1 and now can't edit siteHey Brobytennis,
In the forums it is always best to create a new topic instead of replying back on existing one. Especially because your issue is completely different from the original poster. Please create a new topic and we will be glad to answer you there. Thanks ??

In reply to: Page not found only with postsHI Pedro,
Sorry to hear about this. You can usually easily fix this by simply going into your Permalink settings. Change the permalinks to “Default” then save them. Then change them back to your desired structure and save them again. This should resolve it.

Yes, I would recommend testing with another theme to see if maybe the theme isnt compatible with 4.1.

In reply to: User's network dashboard?Hey there,
This is not really possible outside of what is already provided to admins under “My sites”. I am not really sure what type of settings you want users to be able to change. However, it sounds like you are wanting something a bit larger than just Multisite.
It sounds like you want multi networks. There is a plugin for that but it can get complex. Be sure to research it before deciding to move forward with it.:

In reply to: WP logging me outHey Kelli,
Sorry to hear about this. The most common culprit is the fact that your home and site URL differ. You will want to make sure that both home and site URL under Settings is the exact same (www vs non www etc)
If they are, let me know and we can look into this further for ya ??

In reply to: Members sectionHey there,
You are going to want to use a Membership plugin in order to have certain areas for members only. Check out the following that may be helpful to you:

In reply to: posts not displayed on main page/archivesHi
Firstly, you are going to want to change your Permalink setings to something other than the normal “Default”. After that, you will want to go Settings then to “Reading” settings. Under Front Page displays you will want to make sure the latest posts is selected for front page.
Let me know if you have any questions!

In reply to: Upgraded to 4.1 and now can't edit siteHi Ruth,
Sorry to hear this. It sounds like a jquery error with a plugin or theme. I would recommend deactivating all plugins to see if this solves the problem. Then you can enable them back one by one until problem comes back. That will help you determine which plugin is causing the problem.
