In reply to: [WDContactFormBuilder] Link to Captcha image is brokenNever mind. I figured it out. I was using the WP-HTML-Compression plugin, and that’s what broke the link. I guess Google will just have to live with my uncompressed HTML.

In reply to: [WDContactFormBuilder] Link to Captcha image is brokenUpdate: I went into my form and changed from the captcha to the recaptcha. I got this error message:
Input error: k: Format of site key was invalid.
What did I do wrong?

In reply to: [Easy Social Box / Page Plugin] Can't see this on a MacJust found this on Facebook.
As part of our commitments to helping developers build secure apps and protecting the people who use Facebook, we’re updating our encryption requirements for Facebook-connected apps to reflect a new and more secure industry standard. As a result, apps that don’t support SHA-2 certificate signatures will no longer be able to connect to Facebook starting on October 1, 2015.
Post is here:
https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2015/06/02/SHA-2-Updates-Needed/
This is probably why the plugin isn’t working.

In reply to: [Easy Social Box / Page Plugin] feed does not display on chrome or edgeI am having this problem too. I just checked with my web hosting company. They can see it in Firefox on Windows, but neither they nor I can see it on a Mac in Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
Their developer console cited this problem:
“This site makes use of a SHA-1 certificiate; It’s reommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than this.
window.controllers is deprecated. Do not use it for UA detection.
calling a bullitin Map constructor without new is deprecated and will be forbidden in ES6.
calling a bullitin Set constructor without new is deprecated and will be forbidden in ES6.
“From what they can see, the problem lies with the SHA-1 certificate on the server from which the information is being pulled. Browsers are blocking the information because the server it’s coming from is not secure enough. Don’t know if it’s fixable by any of us.
If I, my theme author or anyone else comes up with a solution, I’ll let you know.

Buzztone: I am not going to apologize for my remarks. I stand by what I said.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Checkbox doesn't show up in Chrome@samuel Wood: Thanks for clarifying. This is a big change from what I’ve seen in the past. I will no longer post on other people’s questions.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Checkbox doesn't show up in Chrome@buzztone: I was completely taken aback by the rudeness of your response when I saw it this morning.
I can’t tell much from your profile except that 1) you have not been designated by www.ads-software.com to be the “comment police” and monitor people’s “manners” on the support forum; and 2) you are selling an expensive plugin that adds pre-designed skins to CS7 forms, so you’re probably trolling for business.
It makes no sense for each of us — myself, @mrl4n & @timkjr — to set up and post a different thread for the same problem. Hence, the FORUM format. If a bunch of people chime in and say “Yes, I’m having that problem too,” then the plugin developer can see that this is an escalating issue, and knows that it’s appearing across multiple sites and platforms. Since we just had a WordPress update and all these posts have come within one week, it’s possible there’s something in the update that’s conflicting with the buttons.
Let’s say we’ve all posted separately. @mrl4n said he’s searching for a solution. Let’s say he figures this out. So is he supposed to search and find ALL the posts related to this, and post his solution? It makes more sense for him to come back to this page and post it here, where three other people can benefit from his answer.
I have posted many questions, and received many answers, on threads where several people were having the same problem. This is the first time I have been rudely attacked for it. Rather than playing “comment police,” I suggest you find another way to promote your business and occupy your time. From what I can see in your profile, you are not an authorized WordPress moderator and you are out of line.
In the meantime, I’m off to figure out an actual SOLUTION that will let me — and hopefully others — accomplish something.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Checkbox doesn't show up in ChromeI am having the same problem with both radio buttons and checkboxes. They do not appear in Chrome or Safari on a Mac.
They do appear in Firefox; however, the button or box appears centered in the line above the label.

It’s possible that this plugin conflicts with the contact form built into the theme. If someone can see this, please let me know and I’ll contact the theme author.
I tried Foxhounds’ solution above and it didn’t work. I will appreciate whatever help anyone can give.
Addendum to my earlier post:
After changing a client’s URL, I added 54 redirects to the 301 Settings page. None of them worked. So we set them up in the site’s cPanel. Later figured out that we had to move all the code to the top of the .htaccess file to get them to work. Still had a redirect loop. Then figured out we had to deactivate the plugin so those commands wouldn’t conflict with the redirect code in the .htacces file.
Not sure why things are no longer working. I have used this plugin successfully for several years. Had it on this website for 9 months. Now, nothing works.
Is this a WordPress updates issue?
No, I already deactivated all the plug-ins and tried that. Didn’t work.
Tonight I tried copying and pasting the code onto a page that already existed. This worked. I have no idea why. But at least it works!
Can you tell me why I can’t access the NextGen list from the editor? I’ve tried this in Firefox and Safari, and I still get a blank page when I click on the green icon.
Well, you are assuming that all of us can write CSS code from scratch, and we know exactly what you’re talking about. Sorry, I can’t. I’m a designer, not a programmer.
I know enough CSS to look at it and modify it. I saw the classes and looked everywhere for them so I could modify them. The plug-in folder has a php file, 4 png files, and a Twitter icon. No CSS style sheets. All the CSS points to that in styles.css. If I modify this for the sitemap page, I will modify it throughout the site. I can’t do that.
I do not know CSS well enough, however, to rewrite this or create the code needed without doing a great deal of research and testing.
I guess I will figure this out another way since you’re not going to help. Good to know in the future.

In reply to: [Custom Contact Forms] forms vanished overnightJust FYI, I downloaded the 5.1.0.3 version of this plug-in and re-installed it. That didn’ bring back any of my data. Updated to 5.1.0.4 again to make sure the site is secure.
Wondering if this is a problem with WordPress 3.9.2. It would be very nice if the developer would respond!

In reply to: [Custom Contact Forms] forms vanished overnightSame problem here. Just signed in to a client’s site and discovered 39 forms are gone. I tried to deactivate/reactivate; that didn’t work.
If I have to rebuild all these forms, I will use a different plug-in. Can’t take this chance again.
Does anyone know: Did the intervention from www.ads-software.com cause the problem?
