I’ve had the same problem with our sites running this plugin.

v 1.71 worked but 1.73 and 1.74 crash the site and display the same error “The wp-config.php file is not writable”

I reported this directly to SA yesterday and hoped the 1.74 would fix the problem but it hasn’t.

Resolved

I disabled Polyland and yes that solved the issue.

Polylang was installed but not configured so we’ll settle that at a later time.

I just came here with a Thumbshots problem as well and learned the news…. interested in the solution myself.

We replaced the plugin:

And all seems to be ok now, I’ll report any other problems.

FYI: the exclude pages widget hasn’t been updated in years… any chance you could fork it and add to your plugin?

Been using it for years and it’s out of date … finally caught up with me

I added the “parent” and it appears to have fixed the problem but we’ve never had to do that before has something changed?

[pagelist_ext] has shown all pages until we create a sub-page and the other pages don’t show anymore?

But the last couple sites we’ve had to use the “parent” setting?

We’ve found a couple more sites having the same problem or we are doing something wrong?

The shortcodes page says this:
[pagelist_ext] – by default shows list of subpages to current page; but if there is no subpages than all pages will be shown;

Sub-pages are showing but so are all the other pages?

IF we use [pagelist_ext] for a subpage is that causing the problem?

Thanks for adding Thumbshots.org back to the plugin.

Changed settings and all is working well!

I had a paid account at Thumbshots and it was working great. I think we had to manually create 1 or 2 thumbs and it’s been good for a couple years.

I’d like to go back to Thumbshots but the CID is no longer there?

I too have a couple clients sites reporting the thumbs weren’t working.

When I went into the library and clicked “generate thumbnails….” it worked with robothumb BUT a number of the images are blank.

With BigShots I was able to set a default image with the client logo when the thumbnail failed.

I also remember we may have uploaded an image for websites that refused to work with Thumbshots???

Any comments/ideas on these points?

I just posted this to WPMUDev.org but their domain mapping plugin is conflicting with NextGen or vice-versa?

I uploaded and overwrote 2.0.17 with the new .18 beta and the “flash browser” error went away and I could now see a new upload display.

Next problem was I could pick the gallery or create new and pick the photos and click start upload and I’d get an error none uploaded.

After I deactivated the domain mapping that problem went away..

BUT there’s more…

There’s a problem when any type of plugin message is display above a page or post. The formatting throws off the gallery options/settings so you can’t see anything. This site is hidden from the search engines so there’s a message from the SEO plugin about that. I disabled the SEO plugin and the message went away and now I can see the settings.

Next I went to insert a gallery into the page and the insert box opened but no choices for type of display? I’m going to wait for the next update or any other ideas?
