I believe I have this setup properly and submitted, with artwork, to the Apple Podcast directory. The validation pulled everything up correctly.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Timezone in Grouped CalendarTimezone is working – for PST.
I had the timezone set to use the “Event Source Default”. I’ve set all 3 calendars – the two I’m grouping and the group calendar itself, to use the theme’s timezone because the events listed are in LA.
However, I speak and perform outside of PST. I am curious how that will be impacted. When I have some time, I’ll create some out of state events – different timezone – and test it.
Unfortunately, html=”yes” in the description, still doesn’t work.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Timezone in Grouped CalendarOh definitely so. ??
Having now tested grouped calendars on 2 different themes and sites, HTML parsing on the same, and seeing the other issues – many with fundamentally basic features germane to the functionality you promote, I’d say it was a less rigorous beta test than you believe.
I use few plug-ins – and only those common in the HUGE majority of WordPress sites. I also disabled them just to test the grouped calendar timezone issue.
Don’t get me wrong.. I’m using a free plug-in. It’s annoying but not disastrous. If I were paying for the premium, it would be unacceptable, however.
I develop software and I appreciate the complexities you are dealing with. I’ve released an upgrade or two over 20 years that was similarly problematic.
But I learned, when key features fail in a production release, better to admit it, fix it, and move on. Such is the life of software development.
For my part, I’ve simply had to strip HTML from the description and provide links to two distinct calendars. Again.. annoying but not disastrous.
I look forward to the future fix.

In reply to: [Virtue] Update Issuewww.ads-software.com has 2.5.4
The Kadence website has 2.5.2I downloaded both and extracted to my harddrive
I named the folders virtue-2.5.2 and virtue-2.5.4 respectively.
I uploaded both to my wordpress install.
Renamed virtue-2.5.2 to virtue – everything worked and I had the notice to update the theme to 2.5.4. I didn’t do the auto-update.
I then renamed the virtue folder (w/2.5.2 back to virtue-2.5.2) and changed the folder virtue-2.5.4 to virtue. Everything worked and the update message is gone.
I am unsure what would have happened if I simply uploaded 2.5.4 and avoided the extra step.
All customizations are in place and working. Hope that helps someone.

In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundYes.. I understand how that works. The template determines that the blog posts go to that page, not what I set in the settings->reading.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundHere is what the issue is/was…
Any time I published the pages, the timestamped changed and they page showed as scheduled. Not sure why.
I’ve set the page publish date to 2 days ago.. that seems to work.
I’ve set the default page to the “about page” as desired.
If I want to have a “blog” page – when they start blogging- and I cannot set the blog page to a specific page, what is the URL for that? I want to add it to the menu.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundSo should I have it set to:
-> Recent Posts? What I want is NO blog entries on the home page.
I want it go go to the “About page” or a page of my choosing for the Home page.I want 2 other static pages, no sidebar.
I want, eventually, a link to the blog in the menu.
I had used the full-width template but now am back to default.. although, that is NOT what I want.
It seems that the theme authors have made this overly challenging. I like the simple and responsive layout but too many non-standard settings that can “break” the theme is a problem.

In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundOkay.. why? I now have it blank. It still isn’t working.
How many specific things must be set in a non-standard way to make the theme work?
I have the home page set to my about page? When I want to add the blog, what page would that show up on?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundAlready did that.. several times. It is Post Name.
Disabled plug-ins, re-enabled, disabled again. Kept disabled.
I’ve altered the permalinks and changed them back.

In reply to: [Virtue] Page Not FoundI was on 2.4.3 – installed from WordPress. I upgraded to 2.4.5 – downloaded from the theme developer’s site.
No change. :-/
