In reply to: [a3 Lazy Load] Major Content Layer Shift Due to Lazy Loading ImagesAfter further testing the new WordPress automatic lazyloading is slow. It also creates other problems saying images do not use http/2. In addition, even if I just lazyload videos there are issues with cls with A3 or the video thumbnails not lazyloaded with wprocket.
It would be really nice if A3 lazyload could be fixed to work without the CLS issue. If so it would still be the best lazy loader for WordPress.
Any chance someone is working to fix the CLS issue?

In reply to: [a3 Lazy Load] Major Content Layer Shift Due to Lazy Loading ImagesI think the issue is because lazy load is now built into wordpress. Use a3 lazyload for videos now but not images. Maybe this is why it seems like fewer people are using a3 lazy load. It was a great plugin before that. Thank you!

In reply to: [a3 Lazy Load] Major Content Layer Shift Due to Lazy Loading ImagesAlso to test this go to a page, inspect, go to network online, and select slow 3g. This lets the page load slow so you can see the content layer shifts.

In reply to: [a3 Lazy Load] A3 Lazy Load and Cumulative Layout ShiftActually, after looking into this more, it seems to be as Jupplid stated. The Aspect ratios save space for the width of the images rather than the height. This creates a really bad shift on all the images.
Maybe A3 was expecting height to be defined frist. The theme I use defines the width and then the height. I will open another support ticket to try and get this solved.

In reply to: [a3 Lazy Load] A3 Lazy Load and Cumulative Layout ShiftI am having the same issue. Ignoring the CLS problems is not good as the CLS is a google core vital. My issue is just with the top avatar on the page which is a local image 40px by 40px pixels large.
In the lab data, it shows a small .021s CLS. However, in-field data it ends up being large over the .1s requirement.
If I use the full-size 150px-150px thumbnail it works. However, when making it small 40x40px it causes the shift.
Here is the HTML when inspecting the image.
img src=”ttps://www.website.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/author.jpg” width=”40″ height=”40″ alt=”Author, Technician”If I use a different caching program it removes the CLS. However, I like A3 lazy load and would like to continue to use it.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Vladimir,
Just curious if you know when the next update will be?
Thank you.
Awesome, thank you!
That would be great, thank you!
Yeah, my Yoast SEO does not have a way to no-ndex profiles either. I think I found the solution though. Profiles are built from a shortcode, that is in a page. In the site dashboard go to pages-all pages and go to My Profile you might have renamed this idk, scroll down the page and find UM content restriction. Check the box to restrict access to login in users. Then select the option to redirect to the login page. Now google should not be able to find these pages. Manually de-index them in your webmaster tools or in will probably hurt SEO.
Umesh,
That would be great!
To check if EXIF data is preserved after a picture upload you can just paste the image url into this site. There will typically be a long list of data if it is preserved.
I would be open to modifying Smush files or WordPress files.
Thank you,
