As Samual mentioned, the link is purely optional. Many popular plugin do this. Even WordPress as a CMS do this, the insert a follow link in every installation. There is nothing wrong in this. It is Open Source / Free world, and that’s the essence of it.

How about basic advertisement features? All the options are disabled.

If the “Display protection information” tick box is ticked/checked then it will show the information in the footer of the website that the website is protected by WP-CopyProtect. It does not hamper core the functionality of the plug-in.

I hope it is clear now, I will add description in the plug-in settings page itself in next release.

Have you tried rebuilding the cache?

1. Clear blog cache, clear browser cache, log out of the admin panel, and see if it works.
2. Otherwise try in different browser.

I tried with W3 Total Cache and it worked!

In this new version of wp-copyprotect I have added a feature which allows you to disable the plugin for admin users. So as you are logged-in as admin user in your wordpress it is allowing you to do all the copy paste.

So if you want to enable the copy protection for all users, go to wp-copyprotect page and select “Apply settings to all users” under user settings section.

Otherwise log-out of wordpress and check if your protection is working or not.

Let me know if you still have issues.

I can’t understand why WP people are taking such rip offs seriously. One of my plugin is ripped by the same user. WTH happened to the WP team ?

As I plugin developer. The first part looks very impressive. Features like plugin recommendation, reviews, categorization will be simply awesome and I am sure you will keep simple UI even if u r changing it.
