Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comments disappeared on blog pagesThanks for the permalinks tip but unfortunately that didn’t fix it. I actually re-installed WordPress today, just to find out that my hosting service doesn’t really get rid of anything. So after the installation, I’ve still got the same problem. I’ll probably try again but then I’ll delete everything that’s on the server to make sure I get a clean install.

In reply to: Comments disappeared on blog pagesHi Sayontan,
Thanks so much for your answer! I’m actually sure it doesn’t have anything to do with Suffusion. To make sure I hadn’t accidentally messed something up, I completely uninstalled Suffusion, went to the WordPress theme (where I had the same problem) and reinstalled Suffusion.
At this point I’m going to deactivate and uninstall the plugins and if that doesn’t solve it, I’ll re-install WordPress and then slowly re-install the plugins to see if that functionality breaks again somewhere.
Thanks again to everyone!
Chris

In reply to: Comments disappeared on blog pagesThanks for your suggestion, sidgoyal1.
And yes, I am talking about no comments being displayed on the single blog entries. The form to post new comments is there and seems to work as I received a new comment.
I put that line
<?php comments_template(”, true); ?>
into the single.php file. I tried different locations for that line, like before the footer call, in the middle at what seemed appropriate places, even close to the top but still no comments are being displayed.
Does that line have to be at a specific location? I’m using the suffusion theme.
Thanks for your help!!

In reply to: Free Platform by Pagelines: no date displayedI left the theme up for 2 days to see if anyone would come up with a solution but I’ve got to switch back to my previous theme now that does not have these problems.
I’ll check any new versions to see if these problems have been fixed. Thanks!

In reply to: Free Platform by Pagelines: no date displayedThere are a few more problems with the Platform theme:
1. The comments refer to the title of the post as in “One Response to [title of post]” but unfortunately the capitalization is changed to all lower case. So any proper names like states are now written in lower case and it looks like they are spelled incorrectly.
2. H2 Headings seem to lose their punctuation at the end of the heading when displayed in an overview page. The heading no longer has a question mark and it’s hard to read the summary.
As far as I can see, all of the above seem to be Theme bugs? Any help would be appreciated!!
I just installed it too. There is a configuration page under settings where you can put in our UA code, etc. Looks like it automatically put the code on all my pages.

In reply to: [RedBel] Change HeaderLooks like it’s handled! I just tried it again now and the sidebar displays properly. Wonder what happened? Pretty mysterious.

I’m running version 1.0 right now though. If you need to see it, please PM me and I’ll set it to 1.2 for a few minutes.
Thanks!

In reply to: [RedBel] Change HeaderHi pixelb,
Thanks a lot for your theme! It’s beautiful!
When I upgrade to version 1.2, I’m having the same problems as dhru1 where the sidebar is breaking up. Don’t have that problem in 1.0, so I went back to that.
Thanks for your help!
